They actually handle better than you think, right and left turns can be challenging sometimes depending in where you are. My 45 foot double axle cascadia cab party bus has the turning radius of an aircraft carrier. There is an old saying..."give me a football field, and I'll turn it around for you"

Sturgis, here I come!... (maybe next year?). In preparation of becoming a fulltimer, I am considering a stacker trailer (for the toys), does having a trailer behind your RV create limitations in RV Resort choices. Any other drawbacks? Looking for comments from you RVers towing a trailer. Andrew, if you haven't already, perhaps a good episode? Thanks, Mark
@RVingwithAndrewSteele5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, very few RV resorts are able to accommodate RVs and stacker trailers. A lot of these folks have a few spots that they really like to go to every year like Daytona and Sturgis or some of the NASCAR races. Having a stacker trailer definitely requires extra planning. I will try to make some more videos in the near future touching on trailering vs. flat towing. Thank you for watching!

You should come to Vegas for SEMA week, I used to detail RVs and I still have a few clients that I could send your way, one has the newest prevost marathon black with stainless and a custom one of a kind stacker trailer that matches, he comes to Vegas more for the auto auctions but the company that I used to work for fired me and he doesn't like the way they treat his coach but he loved how I did it, but due to my health I can't do that type of work anymore. But I know you would be able to please his pickiness

@@RVingwithAndrewSteele I'm sure you could get some work from Oasis RV resort. But I would get in the Park earlier than SEMA since some of the SEMA builds will need to get detailed. The average car/truck preshow details start around 350+, and then during SEMA for 3 years that I worked for red Rock RV Wash I've cleaned a few of the big names that go to SEMA I just don't remember names that well since I don't keep track of who's famous these days since I drive Uber and don't want to get star struck you know, but you can definitely make some amazing money especially with your attention to detail and then when the show starts go enjoy yourself, and if you need an Uber ride contact me and I'll drive you to and from.

I have a serious question, with most states only allowing 65' max length total for rv and trailer, how are many of these legal? A 45' rv only leaves 20' for a trailer including hitch length. I can't find anywhere information on this, but yet I see these combination well over 65' total length. Also see stories of people getting busted and having to have someone pick up trailer, because cops won't let them drive with over max length.
@RVingwithAndrewSteele5 жыл бұрын
I don't think cops bother most rvers. I rarely hear stories of people getting messed with. I think cops in the midwest leave these guys alone.

@@RVingwithAndrewSteele Thanks, I looked all over and couldn't get an answer, thanks. I know in Michigan, which is where I'm from, couple people had to drop there trailer because cops wouldn't let them drive with it over length. So I was curious as to how they do it without going commercial.

@@johnbednarz1424 I'm not sure, I've been detailing these huge rigs for a decade and have never heard a story of a cop making someone drop a trailer. I know a lot of people are real sensitive about California.
