I am such a John Wick fan, and I am soooo excited for this story. Ana is also a very good pick for the Ballerina. She has done similar action in 'Ghosted'. Cannot wait! It is awesome the way they added John into the movie as well - a true 'passing of the torch' moment. 🙂

Yes in John Wick 3 he goes to see the Director (played by Anjelica Huston) who runs the ballet/fight place of the Ruska Roma for passage out of NY. And you learn John's real name, that he was an orphan and was trained there. In this trailer you see Ana de Armas watching John walking down the steps with The Director (Anjelica Huston is reprising her role from the 3rd movie) in the same place. So this movie takes place around the same time of the events in JW3.

It takes place between the 3rd and 4th JW films. They completed principal photography in 2022, but reshot some action sequences in 2024, hence the massive delays in releasing this film. Also, Ana replaced the lady who was in that role in JW3. RIP Lance Reddick
