I am so happy you are posting your ballet journey here on youtube! My mom started in her late 40s and made it en pointe in her 50s! DO NOT GIVE UP EVER! But i dont think you will! Your determination is wonderfully encouraging to many! As far as whst you watch - try watching stuff that you can learn things from that interest you! I love learning math beyond what i learned in highschool. Maybe look into the physics of BALLET and the human body in relation to ballet - its fascinating! It will amaze you!

It is beautiful to follow you and see how much joy you get from ballet. Please don't ever give up. Keep following your passion! But as a former ballet dancer, allow me to say this: you aren't ready to go on pointe, and aren't likely to be for several years. If you try in the near future, you'll likely injure yourself severely. No competent teacher would allow it. And it has absolutely nothing to do with weight (you really aren't that big, anyway. Certainly not as big as I perceive you feel. What is a "ballet body?" It's a body doing ballet). Instead, it's a matter of technique. You must be able to completely stretch and straighten your legs, knees and feet, which isn't happening right now, even on flat. You don't need 180-degree turnout -- even pros don't always have it. But turnout has to be consistent, and never become turn-in. If you go on pointe the way you are dancing now, I'm afraid you'll be so frustrated and discouraged, it might even make you quit ballet. And that would be tragic, because you /are/ getting better all the time. My advice would be to keep taking classes with the teachers who take the time to correct you and help you gain the technique you're missing. Be patient with yourself. Ballet is difficult at any age. Enjoy the process, and keep having fun! I wish you all the best!
