I love the breakdown of the pirouette. The metaphor of a "recipe" is great. You are a master teacher with a beautiful dancer to demonstrate. Well done!

These were really nice tips. They were really well explained and demonstrated. I tried a few piruoettes after watching it and they ended up really better. :) Thank you very much for posting all these vids!

I have always had a problem with spotting, but I have never heard it put to spot with one eye. I will definitely be implementing that in my next ballet class. Thank you so much!

Passe is not fixed enough on the standing leg therefore also creating way too much resistance while turning

Fantastic. Amazing.

Good. I would add two things: one is not to sink and stick out the right buttock (the left one fot left turners) just before you push off. it causes you to get up turned in and uneven turn out during the turn. If slow mo you'll see her position during the is not really ideal. Two: a pirouette should finish up and not down. I think by saying to separate the turn and the finish causes one to jump out of the turn. You see her doing it quite clearly. One should finish the turn up and than come down.

I find it odd that she doesn´t spot front since she prepares en face- even if she finishes en croisé. But thank you anyway for the advice!

My teacher says that if a student cant stand on a coupe releve,he or she cant also do a pirouette. Is this true?

I do too. Long torso, short legs. (vs the ideal shape of short torso, long legs).

he fails to spot the probelm she is having, if she repeat such wrong habits, she will never be a good turner. her head is not flipping correctly, slanting. And her arms position is too wide open while she is turning, that added too much frictions and disturbance to the center of mass

Nice but may I suggest next time calling the dancer by her real name rather than the depersonalising "dancer" (she's not just a body and it's quite unnecessary not to use her name!).
@bandrews77811 жыл бұрын
Those aren't very good. I don't like her spotting either.
