what d'u mean by "new">>> he is disecting the movement and pointing out what to watch out for while performing it. everyone is built differently and so it might not appear to u that the turnout is actually from the hip as far as her own anatomic capacity allows it. same goes to the slight sway of the supporting leg.

At first glance studying human anatomy seems to bo extremely complicated. It is tru?e that it is complex and your studies will not change that. As for being overwhelming, this can be solved if you take it one step at a time. I discovered an article on Sebs Study Crammer very helpful for this.

I think,the working leg, as it comes from behind go pass through 1st position,is a little overcrossing, enough to disturb the precision of the half circle academically demanded! I would suggest that the gastrocnemius muscle must come in to play by rubbing the supporting one as they neet, either endehor or endedans!

emily nicholas if you don’t understand what he means about the colors, then you have to learn about it. Music has colors so do dancing movements.

Nothing new here. I agree with about everything he's saying, keeping in mind that this is a seminar, not a class. He has his own approach in verbal communication, which works. But, here are two distinct problems with somethings he missed. First, the dancer is only turnout from the hips, and not the whole leg, which causes the dancer to, second, sit in her supporting hip. This should have been corrected when he referenced the supporting leg as the stability to help free the working leg.
