Thanks so much for this! I am always so hesitant to purchase online, especially for dance brands because I don't know what will fit or be too small. I am a bit shorter than you but usually wear an xl leotard. I have confidence now that Eleve skirts will fit! My wallet will curse you but my wardrobe will thank you!

your body is somewhat similar to my body and after 11 years I want to take ballet class again. This is a life saver. Now I just need to learn to be okay being one of the largest dancers in the class! You have no idea how much help you have been.

I have the same bullet pointe skirt and I just ordered another one because they do get stretched out after a couple of years. It's my favorite. I wear it almost every class. I'm not curvey but I think they look great on all body types

Russian Point has a pair of ripstop pants that are huge! I am 5.2 and got a size small...it turn out to be i can put 2x my entire body in... they are made in different type of material which seems less breathable (more sweat yay!) but not as soft as my other type of ripstop pants.

I haven't had any luck finding any ripstop pants that fit. I have the same problem with the Body Wrappers ones. I got them in the shorts version and couldnt get them over my butt and hips. I've had the best luck with skirts on Etsy. I love Tragseligkeiten. She's super sweet and her ready-made skirts fit great. They have a stretchy elastic waistband so you can stretch it to accommodate different waist sizes. They come in beautiful colors and surprisingly, for shipping from Germany, have always come pretty fast for me. Thanks for sharing, Jana! I'll have to check out some of these things you mentioned!

Thanks, Jessie! Sorry you've had the same issue with the ripstop pants :( Someone commented that the Russian Pointe brand ones are bigger, so we might have luck there! And a few years ago I borrowed a friend's skirt from Tragseligkeiten and loved the stretchy waistband! I need to get one for myself, thank you!

heeey i'm actually new 💙 at what age did u girls start taking professional dance lessons? I'm naturally flexible, have musical sensitivity and aaalways dreamed about it. when I was 7 I was the best of all the groups in the academy. then at the age of 10-12 I wanted to start ballet but my mom said that I am too old XDD now I would like to dance prof (jazz or ballet). Is it too late...? :/ to competition and u knooow... i'm almost 18 and i haven't danced in years! O.O Umm shouldn't have listened to my mom XD

idk if this will help but usually people will become a professional dancer at 18-20 so it’s probably too late to go professional especially if you haven’t taken a jazz or ballet class BUT it is never too late to take a ballet class or jazz class. there have been many women (and men) who have even started as late as 60! dance is not limit to age, so i’d recommend taking a class, you will not regret. hopes this helps! :)

@@blackmamba7615 that’s above answer isn’t correct for everyone. I have met a dancer that started late in life, then worked as a professional. It’s never too late to start!
