BALLET [Slash Theme]

My interpretation of what would be Slash's (Quake Champions) theme song! I was kind of envisioning how fighting game characters have their tracks that play while I made this. I knew I wanted to make at least one Drum and Bass song for the champions as that genre of music was incredibly popular among classic frag videos of the late 90's and early 2000's, and I don't think there was a better choice than Slash.
I wanted to do a little counterplay between high energy DnB and slightly more somber sections as Slash hasn't always had it easy. Between dealing with drug addiction and a likely traumatic childhood, Slash maintains a sort of sinister childlike innocence with her personality and even keeps her teddy bear close by.
Special thanks to the Bethesda Community Managers Tokyopunchout and Mortalemperor for hosting a poll on the official Quake twitter about what champion theme you guys wanted to hear next, Visor! I wanted to put this out first because it was basically complete when the poll was first posted and I didn't want to leave everyone hanging with release timing. :)

I love how you make these tracks so eclectic, without making it sound disjointed, or giving up musicality, and i think that this describes slash perfectly. Noisia meets mick gordon, meets manson (maybe), meets "Sign of Evil" from DOOM 1, meets a music box, meets perfect cyberpunk feel arpeggios, meets yourself, of course. great stuff!

I know this will probably come off as pretentious, but Slashes demented tortured yet playfully hectic nature is perfectly represented in this track. Listening to this I kinda wish there was more character development in QC. Lore scrolls are not a bad read for what they are, even though they don't exactly tonally mix with the rest of the games "not so serious" attitude. I wish they would go the more serious rout. Arena shooter as a story setting was never explored in depth and kinda brushed aside as an unrealistic gimmick to justify gameplay, but I think that people and creatures from different dimensions killing, dying and resurrecting in an eternal circle of madness is a concept that deserves a good flushed out story long time overdue.
