@@ceeTheorydeebones started settling for jumpers too much and when you do that you live by them and you die by them, when sihmba was taking his right side away and he went left, Sihmba couldn’t flip his hips so he was getting to the cup or getting fouled and also it set up a lot of moves he could create space and score from. At the end of the day Sihmba made shots and that’s what ultimately helped him get the W. It gets real physical in them 1’s

This game was goofy. Sihimba hacked Deebones far too many times. And he was okay with it. He was proud of it. That was the goofy part. Meanwhile, at the beginning of the game, he talked about his defense. What defense? Just grabbing someone around the neck? We might need to implement flagrant fouls in 1 v 1s, and after the 2nd one, for every other one, the opponent gets a free shot and the ball back whether he misses or not. Or keep it simple. To avoid fouls entirely, after 2 straight fouls, the opponent shoots the ball and gets the ball back whether he misses or not.

The fouls were smart basketball in that environment. He didn’t give up anything easy. It was within reason. He never fouled twice in a row to give up the free throw. Dee Bones had plenty of good looks but rushed the shot. Sihimba was the better player and kept the game simple. I’ve seen Nas go through way worse. It ain’t called the trenches for nothing. Have to play through it.
