Okay, so just about everyone here is confused why I even bothered with this...
I saw clickbait mashers faking their way to "perfect" scores with their 85-90% acc, so I figured I'd get an actual perfect score. Was it worth it? Guess we'll see lmao
I used the arrow keys for this because these patterns are awful to hit on spread since there's a lot of 1122/2211 or 3344/4433's, so it was more productive for me to use an index setup for those patterns @ 210 BPM. Basically just alternating between using 4 fingers and 2 fingers when necessary. It probably didn't help that I never bothered to actually warmup for this either, but who would tbh. Anti-shoutouts to the people who farmed 6-digit views off of quadmashing. "Hurr the game allows it."

The other FC's on YT as far as I'm aware have awful accuracy and are not "perfect" FC's like they claim to be. It's clickbait bullshit, and makes no sense at all. Edit 2: okay people are also not getting that the "FC" part of the title isn't meant to claim the first FC (even tho the other FC's are mashed to some degree). It's the first 100% FC. Yeah, it's somewhat redundant, but it makes the title look clean and is a widely used format in rhythm games.

I think that, while definitely done well, it's just kinda... petty, personally. It's an easier rhythm game, and that's fine, and sure, some people hyperbolize the difficulty by praising the drops and shit. But, mind you, walking up and deciding to 100% accuracy the song out of spite doesn't really feel like something that should seem badass. It's the equivalent of walking up to the kid praising the hard work on his sand castle so you can build a better one, just to make the kid look like a scrub, then saying "Yeah I'm a big boy, don't mess with me." It just comes off as going lower than the person you're trying to upstage.

The fact that this mod had to change the entire input system because the developers couldn’t get *the most basic of gameplay functionalities* working correctly should say something about how the game is coded. Here’s a full list of basic features the editor doesn’t support: -Scroll speeds other than 1x -BPMs greater than 250 -Decimal BPMs -Time signatures other than 4/4 -BPM changes -Proper in-editor scrolling -Native support for quantizations other than 4 and 8, you have to literally guess the position for non-snapped notes. Long story short, Friday Night Funkin’s game engine is an absolute dumpster fire in terms of development tools. You’d get significantly better results using a Stepmania to FNF converter, as Stepmania first came out in 2001 and it’s editor features all of the above *and then some.*

Fnf got its charms but it is just objectively bad as a rhythm game. hello! fnf charter and composer for mods here. just wanted to say that i'd rather you guys give constructive criticism rather than just saying that the chart is bad. i know this doesn't apply to all people, but i wanna know why it's bad and how it can be fixed, mostly because i want to improve my charts too. fnf might be a laughing stock in the wider rhythm game community, but i don't think it needs to be that way! i think a bridge between the two can be made, because i love both communities and i don't see a point in deconstructive criticism. also etienne love your videos keep it up my guy

I would recommend checking charts from other vsrg and getting advice from experienced charters. Tbh for a game like fnf i think one doesnt really need to always chart the harder stuff for now, easy to medium difficulty as long as the chart is well made probably gives out more enjoyment for the general fanbase.

This song is so badly charted that it hurts my soul 2. Ok just to clear things up if u still don't understand, "Sick!" is the highest accuracy point you can get in FNF. Meaning he got a All Perfect FC(Full Combo)=100% People who gets "Good!" when playing ballistic and not all of them are "Sick!" , that's just counted as FC. Not All Perfect FC. On the later Kade versions, the latter is an MFC while the former is a GFC. There is now a third type of full combo in these Kade versions, that being a plan FC. It's an FC that has "shit" and "bad" inputs in contrast to an MFC which just has "sick" and good" inputs

You misunderstand, I'm not talking about the timing windows for hitting the notes. I'm talking about the chart design itself. You can really see this at 1:10 if you slow it down by .25x. The audio being out of sync might have to do with the video itself, but the real problem are the notes. In the song, there are only 8 notes being sung by the characters, however, the chart has 10 notes to press. This means Etienne's taps dont come in with the same rhythm as the song. This is a huge issue with many of the charts I've seen in friday night funkin. The notes in the chart simply dont accurately reflect the song.

@@Tribow From what I've seen, there is no option to change the offset when making a chart in FNF, so you're pretty limited in what you can do. The devs would have to go over every individual song and edit/trim the sound file for it to account for the offsets and sync things properly.

That's because, in a way, it is. They have yet to discover how much more there is to rhythm games outside of FNF, because they are new and lack experience. Nobody can expect them to immediately beat a 6-star osu mania song after playing FNF, to them it's genuinely just a clusterfuck or beats cause they can't physically keep up with the amount of things to hit, and it'll take them a while before they even get close to that level.

If FNF didn’t misrepresent rhythm games so heavily, it would probably be a nice thing for veteran players to see. There’s also the annoying thing of sub-par players being hailed for barely surviving a level, while actually good players get no recognition at all. It also gets annoying to constantly hear how “Level X is so difficult it’s impossible” when thousands of people can beat it with ease. If FNF was polished and new players weren’t stuck in their own little bubble, it would be a lot less frustrating. But While we can’t fix the game though, we can inform newbies about rhythm gaming at large.

It's called being uninformed and blindly hopping on the hype train. Remember, just because something is popular, doesn't mean it's the best. Fallout 76, No Man's Sky, The Last Of Us 2, Infestation: Survivor Stories - all of these are games with objectively bad designs, be it atrocious writing, shameless cash grabbing, or just uninteresting or lame concepts, yet they still had many people playing them in spite of it. It should be obvious that popularity has nothing to do with quality, especially when trendy things are often lackluster and oftentimes bad or stupid, just look at how low effort content gets millions of viewers, but high quality effort goes unnoticed most of the time. It happens everywhere - on social media, on KZbin, in video games, in the music industry, etc... Just cause FNF is popular, doesn't mean it's a good game, and as many people have already pointed out up till now, FNF utterly fails at being a rhythm game, most people just like it because they have extremely low standards.

Infestation : survivor stories, was it even popular cause I don even hear/saw anything regarding it. FNF is still alive and kicking, yes the input is bad the charts are funky. But the art style is unique and its newbie friendly most rhythm games are harder and more intense. It's popular cause the art style appeals to a wider audience and the pacing of the game is more casual. Devs are from NG and the NG community love them. FNF is NOT bad it's good but not the best. I think the devs want to make a more casual rhythm game, it's different from the others.

With FNF being many casual player's only experience with Rhythm games, it ends up misrepresenting the genre as a whole by making people believe higher tier stuff is just mashing or cheating, because of their limited scope making them believe other games are just as hard - and since a lot of these issues don't even get noticed by inexperienced players, they're even more clueless and assume it to be the norm. Etienne made a great video about this, which I'll try to sum up - FNF is a fun game, and only fails at one aspect; the rhythm game aspect. I believe that's the main gripe any experienced player has with FNF, while it's a fun game with good music and a quirky artstyle, it's simply not a good rhythm game, especially not one to get new players started with the genre, yet it's seen as a widely successful and the most popular (often synonymus with "the best ever") rhythm game despite it's popularity coming from everything other than the rhythm game aspect. It downplays everything that well-made rhythm games have spent years working on and polishing, and thanks to the Dunning-kruger effect, there's thousands of inexperienced, casual players acting like they know everything about the rhythm game genre just because they played FNF and don't even realize all the gameplay issues it has. Typical example: An experienced player mentions that FNF has a massive desync issue, and FNF fans immediately call him bad and a cheater. Happens in pretty much every video where someone who knows their craft is talking about FNF.

I grinded CTB to the 8k ranks (to compete in the osu world cup back in the day because you have to be on the 8k or higher to be eligible.) and stopped playing seriously because of burnout, and seeing people shit on me because i'm 11-12k now is kinda tiring. I might be whiny, and yes my CTB skills are kinda rusty now. But you can't help but feel like the old osu! days were better, like watching replays and seeing the comments scroll across the screen with the funny one here and there (like the Happy Fruit! one back in the day before the comments are purged.) Nowadays, people be like "I need to get to be the next cookiezi ooga booga" and be sweaty in a rhythm game, which tbh i like being competitive but when that competitiveness became toxic and it causes the entire game to turn into triangle and square 900pp farm maps, it kinda lost it's charm. Theres a different between a full combo, and 100%. Full combo just means you hit every note and didnt miss once. Accuracy doesnt matter. Chrisu holds the title of first full combo. Etienne holds the record for being the first person to get 100%. Which means he got 100% accuracy, and no misses.

Couldn't agree more. For a lot of people FNF is their first rhythm game, so OF COURSE they won't have the same knowledge and skill as longtime rhythm gamers and OF COURSE they're gonna think this chart is the hardest thing out there because FNF is all they know. Yknow, when I first started playing fnf way back, it was my very first 4k game ever. I was complete garbage and took ages to get any better. Bottom line, I was not cut out for rhythm games. It took ages for me to get better and I would get way too mad trying to practice. Yet I persevered due to all the new mods. I thought whitty was super hard back then, but I'd seen clips before, I knew it was nothing near real rhythm games. After months and months of playing around 1 or 2 months ago, I finally decided to give Quaver a go. I played for hours and hours on end everyday and got better a lot faster. Now I moved to Osu Mania and in 4 days Im almost already 50,000 in global rank. Its not much and Im certain others can do better than me, hell I still take too long to get better, but FnF is what introduced me to rhythm games so even if looking back, I would never play it legit it looks like shit to play and straight un fun with those scroll speeds, yet Im still thankful for what its done in bringing more people into rhythm games. So yeah, this chart is hot shit, but I still appreciate it and what it did for me.

@TheTune I've tried etterna, it just felt, too different. Its hard to describe but it was hard for me to tell if I was even hitting anything let alone my accuracy. I was able to play up to like 18 rate maps there, but I didnt really enjoy it so I'll probably stick with Osu.
