You forget a couple of things. Trust me, im not being defensive coz we have been pretty shite in the past few games (after the bloody international breaks, that always has negative effects for Barça). But our main issues... 1. Injuries. Our best defender Araujo didn't play because of an injury he picked up in, yup you guessed it...the international break few weeks ago. His presence on the pitch is genuinely our best defense. If he was fit, Pique and Eric Garcia wouldn't have played. And those 2 sucks. While I'm at it, Sergi Roberto as well. Another player who needs to be booted off. If Hector Bellerin was fit, i don't think Roberto would play. 2. Busquets. This mofo has been an absolute liability for our defense for the past 5 years. Kroos ran past him, not Mbappe or Haaland or prime Messi... Toni Kroos. 3. Xavi's selection. This one is the most depressing thing. I don't know why Ansu, Balde, De Jong, Kessie dont make the starting 11. Conclusion: we are crap. And idk what or who or when we will stop being crap. Visca Barça....

"Barca's team is stacked" Well maybe on paper but the reality is that they lost their 3 most important defenders in Araujo, Kounde, Garcia for their most important run of the season. Kounde just got back against madrid but the damage was already done by pique and Garcia. Not trying to make excuses for the poor form, just putting things into context. In the end I think Barca, fans, players and everyone at the club got a little too carried away by the mercato and thought it was gonna be easy from there, but no, Barca's rebuild will take longer because no matter who they buy, Barcelona wont be back to the top until they get rid of Busquet, Pique, Alba, roberto and bring back the winning mentality. Xavi still has a lot to improve as a coach and youngsters like Pedri, Gavi Fati has a lot to learn before being truly world class but their growth is being slowed down by washed veterans who refuse to accept their time is up. They should look at Iniesta and even Xavi himself who left when they realized it was time.

A thing that I can't get my head around is how clueless Xavi sounds after every game his team losses. He always seems to be perceiving the circumstances, and specific errors from the players as the main reason for the loss. But fails at realizing maybe his playing style could be a breeding ground for those mistakes to happen. I mean, playing possession so high up on the pitch, any missed pass, any interception from the rivals, and they get in a perfect position for a counter attack, with a lot of space, with Barça's defense misplaced. Also this puts great pressure in Barça's CBs, and they have shown to not be of the quality necessary break the counters.

At least I am not the only one who notices that Lewandowski is almost absent on larger matches. We get that he is considerably the top goalscorer of his generation and by far, but I'd choose Benzema and Suarez over him anytime. I know people like to make fun and everything, but I think the Barça downfallis because of very unfortunate events. At the end of the day I don't think Real Madrid would fare really well if they had to play their 4th and 5th choice cb, we saw what happened with Liverpool just last year in 2021 when they lost their defensive starters. At the same time Xavi should have had some sense and not played someone who has honestly been a defensive liability since 2013 during the most difficult games of the season in defensive midfield while all the main defenders are out injured. And having 2 purely creative wingers just makes 0 sense to me, only 1 striker is not enough of a goal threat and every big team plays with at least 1 winger who can drive in from the flank and do something other than spam crosses (Vinicius, Salah, Sane/Musiala)

Thing is Xavi doesn't have the players he exactly needs, its why a lot of players were pressured to leave, to make room for other players, like bernardo silva, foyth, rather all the old captains stayed, busquets plans to leave and thats good but jordi and pique, they are causing problems by not leaving, which is why xavi is in the worst case scenario if a lot of players were to be injured. You would notice pre international break barca, he rotates everyone, giving every player time to play and build up chemistry, which is all down the drain with injuries. And with the performance of ferran and paranoia related to ansu, its understandable why he relies on raphina and dembele

You're a true Barça fan mate, I mean who else would seek optimism via false excuses. Last season Nacho and Vallejo (3rd & 4th choice CBs) played 42 and 8 matches respectively. Lucas Vazquez played 41 matches as RB. Casemiro also played as CB in 2 matches. And yet Real Madrid managed to win the UCL and La-liga titles. Injuries are part and parcel of any sport and every great team knows how to tackle that situation. Not to forget about the squad depth of Barcelona is on par with the likes of Man City and Bayern Munich, and yet somehow Barça fans are getting orgasms blindfoldly from Xavi & Laporta's Lever pulling noises.

You think Madrid would struggle if they had to play Rudiger, Nacho or Vasquez? You won't see a difference. Vasquez easily replaced Carvajal for long stretches and Madrid kept going as usual. Nacho can pick any spot on the defensive line and would still play like anyone he replaced. It's just quality man. Madrid just have a better quality bench. Barca just pulled the levers and went to town. Brought whoever was available. That's the difference.
