As long as you don't " actively " try to swallow or anything like that there's no issue especially with the medication and lidocaine before the procedure starts. Watch my 24 hours after video. Really, you're more nervous than you need to be. As for the septoplasty, I potentially may still get it. I still have some congestion here and there. Lots of vasoline in the nostrils at night is the only thing that stopped my nose bleeds. Been two years since I had one since using Vasoline petroleum jelly. I found controlling the allergies is the key. You can do drops under the tongue for immunotherapy if you can find a place that does that. Sublinqual drops. Easier than driving for allergy shots. It helped me. Neil-Med has a nasal gel spray that is great. Their products are great.

Hey! You definitely made this procedure less scary lol my ENT recommended that I get the balloon surgery because I always get ear tubes before flying. My ears can’t equalize the pressure from the altitude changes and it makes my ears pop during and after the flight, sometime for days which is really painful 😓. Traveling with ear tubes make flying pain free for me lol but it has its longer term risk as well. -Did you have any issues traveling with your condition before the balloon surgery and how was your experience traveling again after getting it? I’m scared that it won’t give me the same result as the ear tubes. Thx!

Nostrils :) Not noses. I am so glad you were doing so much better after this surgery! I had an elective septoplasty in 2011. My left nostril was 90% blocked. It's not perfect, but it's much better than it was. Maybe I could have more done to it someday, but I don't know when yet, or what. Not sure how things have been for you since this video, but hopefully good. Take care. I can sympathize all too well with sinus issues. Not the nose-bleeds, but the congestion for sure.

My new ENT just suggested to do this surgery and I’m glad I watched your video. I was wondering did the doctor said the changes they made in your sinuses will be permanent or will it go back to the shape before? And are considering doing a rhinoplasty to fix the deviated septum?
@cturboaddict3 жыл бұрын
Make sure you watch all 3 of my videos. There's one 24 hours after, 1 month, 2 month, and this one. He said it should be permanent. But your body can return to its normal state in some instances. The ENT that did the balloon surgery does not currently recommend standard sinuplasty. Time will only tell. It's almost a year now from the surgery.
