I had two turbulence’s removed with surgery while under anesthesia. It’s the best thing Iv ever had done. My nasal passages stay clear all the time now. Used to be I was stopped up all the time. My insurance covered it except for a co payment. Been 13 years now of free breathing.

Thank you for this!! I am super nervous. Is your septum still deviated? If so do you feel like you need it corrected? Im worried about getting the balloon procedure now and then having to go back in for a septoplasty. I heard you speak about it briefly but this was a year ago
@cturboaddict
@cturboaddict 2 жыл бұрын
Watch my 24 hours after video. Really, you're more nervous than you need to be. As for the septoplasty, I potentially may still get it. I still have some congestion here and there. But it's nowhere near what it used to be before the balloon surgery. All in all, I'm happy that I got the balloon surgery. Feel free to ask questions, I did a series of these videos over the year after I got it done.

Hey! You definitely made this procedure less scary lol my ENT recommended that I get the balloon surgery because I always get ear tubes before flying. My ears can’t equalize the pressure from the altitude changes and it makes my ears pop during and after the flight, sometime for days which is really painful 😓. Traveling with ear tubes make flying pain free for me lol but it has its longer term risk as well. -Did you have any issues traveling with your condition before the balloon surgery and how was your experience traveling again after getting it? I’m scared that it won’t give me the same result as the ear tubes. Thx!
@cturboaddict

Yes issues before. Haven't tried after yet. But I can tell you they used to not equalize on the ground before, and they do now. Lol

Hey man, you sold me on this. My ENT has been trying to get me to do this for YEARS, and I just had a run of three sinus infections in 3 months. Which never happened to me. So I decided to look for others that had actual experiences, see if it was worth the money. This is a couple months old now, just wondering has everything improved even more? Would you still recommend the procedure?

Did they actually straighten your septum with the balloon sinuplasty? I thought only way to straighten septum was through conventional surgery. Glad this helped you.
@cturboaddict

No, they open the passages. And even with septoplasty, they dont really strighten your septum. They carve away at the side thats curved in.

Hey man, thank you so much for your video! I’ve been dealing sinus issues for 8 years now and I have done multiple surgeries. My new ENT just suggested to do this surgery and I’m glad I watched your video. I was wondering did the doctor said the changes they made in your sinuses will be permanent or will it go back to the shape before? And are considering doing a rhinoplasty to fix the deviated septum?
@cturboaddict
@cturboaddict 2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you watch all 3 of my videos. There's one 24 hours after, 1 month, 2 month, and this one. He said it should be permanent. But your body can return to its normal state in some instances. The ENT that did the balloon surgery does not currently recommend standard sinuplasty. Time will only tell. It's almost a year now from the surgery.

Nostrils :) Not noses. I am so glad you were doing so much better after this surgery! I had an elective septoplasty in 2011. My left nostril was 90% blocked. It's not perfect, but it's much better than it was. Maybe I could have more done to it someday, but I don't know when yet, or what. Lots of vasoline in the nostrils at night is the only thing that stopped my nose bleeds. Been two years since I had one since using Vasoline petroleum jelly. I found controlling the allergies is the key. You can do drops under the tongue for immunotherapy if you can find a place that does that. Sublinqual drops. Easier than driving for allergy shots. It helped me. Neil-Med has a nasal gel spray that is great. Their products are great.

As long as you don't " actively " try to swallow or anything like that there's no issue especially with the medication and lidocaine before the procedure starts.
