FYI, sexy nukim is pronounced closer to “nook” like in nook and cranny and “eem” nook-eem” means sexy feeling. I was totally like y’all when I saw him appear in the video. The music is intoxicating and the cinematography was stellar. RM’s rap flow always top tier 💜.

I LOVE this song! It's a great experimental sound for Namjoon and he absolutely killed it! I'm excited for his album. Also, that beat is INSANE. I like that it's unconventional. Shows that RM doesn't give a shit about being commercial and charting. He just wants to find inspiration, be himself and do things that are out of the norm. I knew nothing about Balming Tiger, so I had no clue what to expect when I first listened to the song. And with the depth of RM's lyrical and performance genius, this song could have been anything from hardcore rap to a soft ballad, and RM would have fit in perfectly. ayo i was bumpin to this song, it's so good. i loved hearing namjoon like this! that bass, that beat immediately hooked me, too! i totally agree. they all were very captivating and the videography, the cinematography, the production, the direction. i really think that everything was really good. i love the vibe/concept of this video. it had a really old school, almost 70s/80s vibe to me. it was really subtle but the coloring of it, the set/props combined with the styling. i really enjoyed the whole thing. i will definitely be listening to this all the time. i'm thankful that rm was featured because he is showing us so many sides of himself and it's really fun to see him express himself and enjoy being a rapper. even though his part was "small" (i put that in quotes because he really shined and he felt like a big presence), somehow you could feel the respect he has for this group he's collabing with. he really did his best. i'm very proud of him, and i hope a lot of people are able to explore new music through this. thanks for your genuine reaction! i'm happy y'all enjoyed it, too!

It's interesting you mention the time frame, because I've been thinking that this video reminds me of a lot of videos from the 80s when MTv was new and wild. Many of the mvs that they aired were similar in their sense of feeling surreal and almost random- left you wondering why the artist(s) chose 'this' image for 'that' lyric and how they fitted together. (I was secretly of the mind that there was an unspoken competition among artists for the most surreal mv.) Of course, back in those days we also had to ask, "Ok, what were they smoking *this* time?'" fairly frequently. These days there's a lot less 'chemically induced creativity.'

Namjoom part fitted him so well, the way they gave him a bicycle to shoot the video is totally his personality. Looking at the video for the first time, it was a like watching different clips of a movie; couldn’t tell what was going to happen next. 🥰💜
