Great tip about using wood glue and CA in combination for large areas. Building a BUSA Excalibur and your build is very helpful. Thanks!

I scratch build, I'm going to tell you that buying a small bandsaw or a scroll saw is your best friend. I would first get a scroll.

Yes, that is on my xmas list. I keep saying I need to get one. I did recently get a table top sander. A scroll saw would be very nice one day.

I'm currently working on a Sig kouger and a Astro hog! What do you recommend for sheeting the foam core wing with the balsa as far as adhesive goes! I've tried the stuff Dave Brown sales but it started coming back loose after a while!

Hi. Well I apologize because I have never built a foam core wing. Maybe you can type in a search on one of the traditional rc forums like www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1158061-What-type-of-glue-to-use-when-glueing-balsa-sheeting-to-foam-core-wing or www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3066204-glue-sheeting-to-foam-core-wings for some help on that. Or Rc universe www.rcuniverse.com/forum/tips-techniques-180/2847300-best-glue-sheeting-foam-wings.html Those traditional forums have loads of info.

@@JamesRCPlaneTech Thanks I might try some of the SIG Bond, that's probably exactly what I needed!

@@JamesRCPlaneTech if you want good results, and plenty of working time, just use titebond adhesive and the shucks it came out of, put weights on the outer shucks. But it's better to vacuum bag them. Most people fall for the CA and epoxy route of building, but using regular wood glue for most of the structure is going to be lighter and sand better on joints.

Thanks this comment. Im one of those CA epoxy guys that more recently have started using more titebond wood glue.i think when younger the ca and 5 min epoxy was the big deal because you can build faster, but I am finding that my build time is naturally slower now and I am using just plain old wood glue for some things. Thanks again for the insight
