I've done the hike from alder lake to balsam lake it's a fairly scenic trail. I camped by the lean-to and ate dinner up at the tower while watching the sunset. Very pretty

Nice day to be on the tower. Looks like it was a great weekend to be out you missed any crowd and had probably the best site.

@ 16:42 I ❤️ the sound of a brook while camping 👍 plenty of fresh water 👩 @ 17:48 I'm wondering if your standing in what used to be the foundation of an old mill, that had a waterwheel? 👩 @ 23:27 I ❤️ getting up and getting pot of coffee perking and that first cup of coffee in the morning in the big outdoors! 😃 your a hiker more than a camper, I bring a stove when I'm camping, I want perked coffee in the morning, I don't think about the weight,That's the Catskills for sure, I lived in the Catskills for 17 years, the Catskills are filled with all the hardwoods and Hemlock trees, I loved it 👍 if I remember correctly,I think the Catskill rule book said you camp as long as your 250' off the trail, and not above 3,000' in elevation and when you go to the bathroom, you must be 100' away from camping site, I think 🤔 it's been a long time since I read that book, @ 44:18 I understand that Balsam mountain gets a lot of Snow on top, this is an awesome video, I ❤️ the 3-D maps, very cool 😎 from: Scranton, Pennsylvania
