Thanks for sharing your Baltic trip on Poesia. We're doing a similar cruise this summer and going to get our first taste of the Baltic Sea.

Looking to do a Baltic cruise next year. Any thoughts on whether a port or starboard cabin would be best to book...

On the cruise that we went on, to be honest, it did not matter much. Many of the ports are more industrial, so there is not a lot to see while in those ports. For Riga, Stockholm, and Helsinki we sailed down rivers, bays, and inlets, so both sides of the ship got great views. Hope that helps! 😊

Another enjoyable presentation. How do find your way around the cities in each port? Do you explore randomly, or do you advise using a map?

Thank you so much! We will usually do some research just on travel websites and search engines to figure out the main few places want to see, and then we map them out using google maps to determine the best route for walking around, as well as figuring out the walking time to make sure we can see everything we want for the time we are in port. With some ports you only really have a few hours to walk around so we like to plan a bit ahead. We would advise marking everything you want to see on a map (also keeps you from getting lost!). If we have a lot of time in port, then we will just figure out a part of town that looks cool and take a cab there and then just explore on our own! Luckily, the old towns of Riga and Tallinn were pretty small, but when we get to Stockholm (coming out next week) that was another story! Hope that helps!

Very nice! From what we know about the weather in Europe, it should be pretty mild that time of year. We have heard that June, followed by the early spring is the best time to visit!
