His great father Neeme preferred and performed this version, so I guess young Kristijan obviously fell in love, as we all are now, in his (and his father's) 1945 rendition of Stavinski's magical music. My guess is that he absorbed it so thoroughly in his youth that he knows even every accidental drop of the ink in the score, let alone decades long history of his father's and his own markings on the score. With all that said this performance is a miracle of beauty - of musical and non-musical beauty. It is surely a historical performance, a testament to the art of Baltic Sea Philharmonic and its great conductor Kristjan Järvi.

Jarvi has a vision and the entire orchestra is invested in it. It's a fine vision and a better performance. A fully realized performance. Really pretty wonderful to watch.
