@@stephenrafter1022 He Died in 1995. AIDS was Pretty much WELL known by then. What happen is that he Contracted AIDS from his Older Boyfriend around 1988, when his Father died in 1992, he was diagnosed with AIDS.

Jimmy was a great dancer and frontman, truth is the real singer was Maurizio Bassi, writer, musician and creator of the project Baltimora. You can spot him in the back wearing a red cap and white clothes.

It's true. If you listen carefully, you can hear Italian interpretations of English words; errors an Irishman would never make. The best one is "signal", pronounced "sing-jal". Or "leeving in the open," instead of "living". But there are others. I grew up in Italy and the accent is unmistakable. You can also tell during videos of live performances. It's funny that it's controversial. Great song though. In fact, it wouldn't be the same with another voice.

I know there's a lot of debate whether Jimmy McShane or Maurizio Bassi sang this and it's generally accepted Bassi sang it, but I think McShane could have because there are spots throughout the song with an ever so slight Irish accent, like "message" kinda comes out "meyessage"

Only Bassi knows for sure and the dude ain't talking. If it is true then the dude on the left on keyboard never seen close up but for his hands is most likely Bassi singing. Doesn't change the fact that I wish there was more from Baltimora with McShane. And that Bassi doesn't seem to have done anything else since.

Excellent performance from Jimmy Mcshane & the fantastic baltimora.I'm a long fan of all 80s music as they were the best decade of musical pioneers like omd who I've followed since i was 10 & seen them live 8 maybe 9 times & i last year at crashrecords headrow in leeds at the record signing i met Andy McCluskey lead singer & bass guitar & paul humphrey vocals & keyboards/synthesiser. I'm 55 now & still listen to as many 80s songs as i can. Thanks for the memories Jimmy mcshane the stars will spell out your name sir. Rest easy xxx

Excellent ! That was the typical "futuristic" stage...futuristic in the fashion of 1985, with neons and all the rest ! I like it when the drums plays on the hexagonal Simmons pads, with these funny sounds, and the focus on the synth when the keyboardist plays his sequence ... You can feel this was pure fun; the 1980s were a pure decade for havin' fun... even as the 1990s came, all of that faded away, in my opinion : rap crap, dance, techno..;etc were already there
