It was amazing that they made the Mayday call at 1:26 AM, and they were able to clear traffic before the ship hit the bridge at 1:28 AM. Maybe there was not much traffic at that time.

Nice animations but I’d like to correct some misleading items. Gross tonnage is a measurement of VOLUME not weight. Your animation shows a twin screw, twin ruddered vessel with a label giving her ‘gross weight’ as approx 95,00 tons. MV Dali has a single screw and rudder and at the time of sailing had a displacement (her real weight) of just shy of 150;000tons. The black smoke (actually soot) ‘coming from somewhere on board’ is emanating from the exhaust stack as the crew attempt to start the main engine at full astern! These might seem a little nit-picky, but with the conspiracy storm this has started, little discrepancies make for big misunderstandings. 👍

In 1980 another ship did "chip" pillar of same bridge, the pillar was never designed against collisions, so a bit different angle of that ship perhaps would also have resulted in collapse of bridge.

The rudder was already set to allow for the wind. Why didn't they sail straight through?

8 knots are equivalent to 14.80 km/h or 4.11 m/s.

Hey, hey, hey , what made the ship to veer towards the pillar as it was approaching the Bridge & what was the black smoke about If not giving stern thrust on rhe engines to stop the movement coupled with dropping the anchot The truth of the crash may never come out lest Insurance/Compensation be denied for the Pilots/officals erranous actions when faced with an emergency situation, & with a Ukranian Caotain who buy their cerificates, when the focus changed from safe navigation to saving the Bridge, only ending up crashing into it,

This animation is 100% wrong about the path taken, and the final turns taken. Watch the video at least, the direction presented and the turn taken is completely wrong here.

Misinformation campaign at work ; Stern movement on the engines is what caused the ship moving at 8 knots to veer to the right towards the Bridge pillar A ships heading is depended on its momentum & not on the propulsion, All that was required after emergency power was restored to the steering was not to slow down inc using the anxhor but to navigate yhe vessel under the Bridge using the momentum of 8 knots,
