You know, it would have been cool if they had integrated Ryu more with the line gimmick. It wouldn't have been very hard to have the legs separate and become arms, though they wouldn't really be the best arms ever. But it would have been something cool to do.

Granted, backpacks are pretty lazy (Super Ohranger Robo, Ryuutei Kyuurenou, Raiden Kyouryuujin, Killer Abarenou, Samurai Haou, etc.), but...nothing beats the laziness of Zyuutei Daizyuujin/Mega Dragonzord...the Dragonzord becomes a shawl for the Megazord. Backpacks are a little more intuitive than a glorified shawl...

Red Puncher gave Ohranger Robo a pretty bitchin' helmet. So did Pteragordon for Kyouryuujin. Assuming that there's still another Voyager for Kyuuranger to enable an Ultimate formation that hopefully uses ALL the Voyagers (none of this partial nonsense like Goseiger, Gokaiger, Kyouryuuger, & Ninninger where only most of the critters were used), maybe there's still a badass helmet to be had down the line.

Also Dragonzord had a bitchin Mecha Godzilla mode going. Unlike this thing which is a square stick with a box in the middle, and a dragonhead at one end.

Well, there's only so much you can do with the Chinese style dragon. Just ask Red Dragon Thunderzord, Serpentera, or even Ryuu Origami. On the flip side, the Legacy Red Dragon Thunderzord smokes all these.

as fun as the idea is, I doubt the final form will use all the mecha, except maybe the kyutama. Washi voyager can at least be incorporated as a pair of wings, but I don't see the bodies of hebitsukai and tenbin voyager being incorporated without the end result being another samurai haoh.

Good news! They're doing a remold of Shishi Voyager to make the Cerberus Voyager! So you can plug the leftover voyagers into him! ... The downside is unlike Kyoryuger with Tobaspino, they're aren't enough Voyagers to allow there to be 3 complete mechas, so someone's going to be missing an arm or a leg... I will say what's on everyone's mind when finding this out, "WHY!?!?!?!?!?" It would be SO easy to remold Kajiki to become a Pieces Voyager, or Washi to a Kujaku Voyager, or some other third thing that would give us another Limb-Voyager

Cerberus isn't going to help with this issue. Currently no matter which limb voyagers you use, we have 3 left over. Cerberus only accepts two complete voyagers as legs, and his arms are formed by voyagers WITHOUT their kyutama attached, so even if we were to use two of our 3 leftovers for his legs, we would still be left with the unused kyutama from the 3rd we use for an arm, and then we would be short one voyager to use as his other arm. Even if they do as you say and provide us with one more limb voyager, since Cerberus doesn't use the kyutama for the arms we're STILL going to be left with two unused parts.... both of Cerberus's arm voyagers will have their kyutama sitting off to the side.... Here's to hoping whatever comes after KyutamaJin will give us a way to combine everything. :P

If I'm wrong don't hold it against me, but... I think KyutamaJin might be the last mecha of the series, think about it, Houou Soldier's the last Kyuranger (as far as we know), KyutamaJin uses all 12 ranger Kyutama, and if they try to pull a Bragigas on us whatever it ends up being would be HUGE... oh my god... what if the last Mecha is the Orion? All original 9 voyagers could fit in it, and it could open up to allow you to put in as many kyutama as you wanted, and even make noises for all 88 kyutama... 1. That would be awesome, 2. That would be GIGANTIC, like... the size of a small fridge! 3. That would be VERY expensive, and 4. That would NOT ship cheap. They're clearly not going to do that, but how crazy/awesome would it be if they did?

I'm not going to say you're "wrong" nessisarily, but I don't think it makes much sense for Houou to be the FINAL mecha for Kyuranger. We know from product catalog scans that the Houou voyager and KyutamaJin are coming in Quarter 3 (specifically 7月 which would be July.) Cerberus Voyager is coming out 8月, or August. that leaves Quarter 4, and I would doubt VERY HEAVILY that there will not be any additional Kyuranger products for Q4 (10-12月). Now, given the way things turned out in Ninninger with the "large mecha" (Lion Ha-Ojo) coming out in Q3 and Gekiatsudaioh coming out in Q4 to round things out, it's possible that the upcoming Houou voyager and its combinations will be the "large mecha" of the year and we get a smaller additional mecha in Q4 like Gekiatsu from Ninninger, meaning that we wouldn't be getting an even larger combination like Bragigas or HyperResshaTeioh... but I would be absolutely amazed if they just didn't put any additional Kyuranger products out for all of Q4. That would be incredibly strange since there is basically always Q4 products in Sentai lines. As it stands, 1-3月was KyurenOh and the aux Voyagers. 4-6月 is RyuTeiOh and Kuma, 7-9月 is Houou, and Cerberus.... 10-12月 needs to have something there as well, even if it's not some huge "combine all the things" type mecha like we've gotten in other seasons. I would love to think we'll get a larger Cluster type mecha in Q4, but even if we do not there will be something coming out. Even if it's just a repaint or something like Tobaspino. I do think it's interesting that there is supposed to be some kind of "Orion" voyager or something, since their ship in the show is named the Orion... you might be onto something... maybe it'll be a revolver mammoth type of mecha that stores Voyagers instead of those little ninja ball things? We'll know as soon as we see scans of a Q4 product catalog. Honestly I'd almost rather they just come out with a smaller Gekiatsu type mecha that would allow us to use up all our leftover Voyagers. As long as I don't have any lonely voyagers left off to the side by the end of this line, I'll be happy. Even if they don't all combine at once. :P

Well if Cerberus only connects with 2 limbs then that means the loose 3 are handled. Sense the Washi Voyager can beg on to the back of some of the Mecha. ...But it looks like it can have arm attachments too.

It doesn't only connect with 2 limbs. Its LEGS connect with the voyagers AND their kyutama like ALL the limbs of Kyurenoh and the ARMS of RyuTeiOh. The ARMS of Cerberus only combine with the voyager portion, and NOT their attached kyutama - Cerberus actually attaches to the body of the voyagers using the same round connection as the kyutama themselves do. The combination is also like Hyper Gosei Great from Goseiger as Ryu Voyager is like Datas Hyper connecting to the back while using the other two main zords as artillery attachments.

I realm like the look. More than I would expect. Even though the gimmicks are simple. But for the little ones it makes a lot of sense to be simple and durable. And I can imagine for design purposes it makes easier to make large combiner if it starts simpler and multifunctional (and just the sheer weight). I wonder, because they develop many shows at a time. Hopefully they're developing a few simple ones so in the background they can spend more time on a complicated one in the future)

That's not original to digimon.... Most depictions of the typical "Chinese dragon" show the dragon holding a globe or pearl. I've got a carved wooden dragon on my altar and it's got the same thing going on. It is pretty cool they used the Kyutama to represent it in this mecha, tho.
