G’morning Shawn. Nice little Caddis fly for us this morning. It must not be easy thinking of a new variety of fly to present to your viewers, but you’re doing it! Hope your deck project is coming along just as well. Mine is coming along nicely, but slowly due to the constant heat. C u on the next video.

It isn't easy coming up with something every new every week. I pull a lot if patterns from order requests I get. This was one of them. I got my front deck finished which was a total rebuild. Now we are going to replace all the decking boards on our wrap around back porch. Not real excited for that one. 😆

Thank you, Shawn, for the great pattern and tie! If I may ask, when would you fish this pattern?
@HolsingersFlyShop5 ай бұрын
I fish caddis dry flies year around. Honestly, I even use these steelhead fishing. I like to use patterns like this one to dry dropper fish. This is a very subtle indicator and looks natural as compared to say a thingamabobber. We have caddis hatching year around in my area so trout are used to seeing them. That's why I said I fish them year around

Thank you for your answer! I tied a few of these the other day. It's really a "buggy" looking fly! Can't wait to try them! Love your site and videos! Thank you!

Do you guys have that thread splitter in stock?
@HolsingersFlyShop5 ай бұрын
We don't carry them yet. I just got that one and started using it. I really like it and would suggest one if you tend to split the thread a lot like I do.
