Had a blast like always. I think I've learned enough from the trips and watching videos that I'm more successful as a surf fisherman. Definitely did good this time catching those 3 pomps the day after the trip. Looking forward to more travel videos for sure and maybe some more flounder videos!! Take care!

Most people don't understand how hard and difficult, being a successful fishing guide really is! I grew up in the boating business, and saw it all the time. People would love fishing, and become a fishing guide. A year or 2, later would quit, because it was to much. Long days, always working, working in all kinds of weather, never seeing the family, and rarely ever fishing. When it became a job it wasn't much fun, anymore! When you learn, your work is 340 days a year. Up at 5 am, and home at 8 pm! It sucks... Glad you are still in the industry, and I wish you and family, the best!

Matt, I love your channel and the great content you have, and I have been a subscriber for a while. Please, please separate yourself from Brant and CMR. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS!!! You do not have to resort to slapstick comedy for followers. You built this being the Beach Bum, not Larry,Curly, and Moe. I was forced to stop following those guys, as I just couldn’t take it any more. You are a natural in front of the camera, and produce great videos. You just do you, and leave those clowns alone. I am aware that neither you nor Brant or CMR probably care what I think. I am just saying as a long time subscriber, stick to what made you successful in the first place. Keep up the good work.

East coaster here. Under the lighthouse, Mecca gator blues! Not gonna make fun of ya (this time), but proud of ya for releasing the first blue when the decision was made not to eat it. Bravo! Fine to keep fish for bait or consumption, but when you get biggins' through your area, not unreasonable to release and sustain the species. Well done. If you do choose to eat bluefish, I'm sure you already know you can bleed it right there on the beach (cut the gills, head down in the sand, bury it to keep it cool and away from bugs/Fred). Grilled blue is tasty, smoked even better, makes a nice relish base (like tuna). Bleeding is critical and of course cut out the blood line. Bon Appetit.

I can understand you’re thinking. Always nice to keep a few guide trips in your pocket just in case. I would very much like to see you pick up a kayak sponsor that provided you a little bigger kayak with pedal drive that could allow you to expand range and targeted species. I guided, made thousands of fishing lures every year at one time. Then got transferred for work to where I’m currently living working 7 days a week and sometimes 12 hour shifts. It’s tough for sure so optimize your time that beats suits you and your goals.
