For those who say it doesn’t work. Try placing the red stone directly on top of the pistons and it works just fine! Sounds awful, but it’s been going for about 10 real life minutes and i’m almost at a full stack. Also i (think) the sand block and piston underneath are a waste, just connect the redstone from the roof the repeater. Cheers

Sorry wasn't able to get it to work. Backed off to a observer-triggered piston design, more resources and a little lossy but bone simple. I might have been more motivated if you had included a "theory of operation" section at the end, esp. how precisely does an event initiate a signal that propagates to the pistons. I'm not at all expert in redstone engineering, so that type of info is vital for me to troubleshoot. EDIT: fixed a typo and clarified one sentence

If your on bedrock you have to use observers

@@hawksviewconstruction77 just put them on top of the pistons facing towards where the bamboo will grow, put blocks behind the pistons and place redstone dust on it and that should work

Id make an observer two blocks higher then the sand. Then let a cactus grow and let the signal from the observer activate the pistons

How are we defining "best" because a dispenser & bone meal, with some observers and a piston will produce far more than 560 an hour. I get a full inventory in about 15 seconds with 3 modules of 8, each is 1wt

Made this in 30mins, works perfect, bunch of bamboo and now Imma steal thw same idea but use sand and sugar canes instead. Wish me luck lol

check his videos, he has made a gold farm, I've used it in my past Minecraft worlds and it worked so well that it crashed my game.

redstone is not placed correctly, you need to put it above the piston.

I like this farm but sometimes the bamboo gets stuck on the edges of the dirt. Is there any way to prevent that from happening?

redstone dust is bad placed, and the farm does a horrible sound....

Do not build this, you could be getting 50% more output if you run a minecart with a hopper underneath, do not follow this channel he makes really bad farms and doesnt give credit to the original builders
