A nasty upper respiratory infection took a huge part of my falsetto, so I feel your pain. I know the anxiety of wondering if you'll ever get back what you've lost. Gosh, thank you so much for the kind words!!! It's really nice to hear that someone understands. A few years back I got some really nasty bronchitis that had already affected my range, and once the covid hit, I was super scared that it might permanently affect me forever. For now, I'm taking baby steps in recovering and not overly taxing my vocal cords, so I hope that with time and patience I'll be able to make a full recovery there! While I've had some training in the form of doing choir and musical theatre across my life, I've never formally had a vocal coach or anything! But because I dreamed of being a professional singer back then, I worked hard to learn whatever I could through stuff like KZbin videos and CDs. Beyond that, most of what I've learned has been self-taught and daily warm ups and practice :D

I saw Ea Nasir at a bazaar in Ur a couple weeks ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to bother him and ask him for autographed clay tablets or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk to the ziqqurat with like fifteen copper ingots in his hands without paying. The girl who sold metals was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the ingots and started weighing it multiple times to calculate the total price, he stopped her and told her to weigh them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word, she wasn't even using a digital scale. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
