The zip tie tip was game changing. Using the bit of tape BL used to attach the cable too. Great work Tom.

After installation of my new bed, I did the manual leveling with the software on the SD card. I then did a benchy and it turned out to be the best benchy I have ever done. It was perfect with PETG. It was better than the orginal out of the box.

Yours was the best KZbin that explicate what to do. I have a question. I'm 73 and I got the A1 because it looked simple to operate. That was until the heat plate problem. I chose to put the replace plate in myself. That wasn't bad, but getting the up grade software on the mini flash cart from what Bambu sent to my email has gone over my head. is there any way you could do a full walk through on that. I feel I'm not the only dealing with that. Thanks.

Sorry about that, but I had people asking for clearer instructions on the bed cable placement and how it is locked into place by the bottom panel. Believe me, I hate having to delete a video as it hurts me in the YT algorithm, but I want this video to be as helpful as possible for everyone. :)

Great video!! Wish I saw this before doing mine. I wish you would have shown the bed screws a little better. I got really confused because the 8 holes do not line up with all 8 from the rails. I assumed they would for some reason, and almost thought my replacement was bad. Only the screw holes will align. Funny thing is my old bed black and white cables were loose. I didnt have to push the metal tabs. They almost fell out. Scarry!! And THANK you for explaining the power cable and how far to have it so it locks in with the bottom cover. I almost didnt get mine in place well. Very important!!

Great tutorial. I taped just the wires and pulled them through no need for a ziptie. Total time took me 1 hour, just to make sure I got everything right. I got it up and running after bed leveling and calibration. First benchy was a success! Submitted my 3 photo's now I wait. Curious how long it will take for the funds.

Just got my heat bed in yesterday, got it installed with no issues. I did a basic leveling and no issues from what I'm seeing. Bamboo was suggesting a manual tramming leveling but didn't wanna go there, did a print and everything is level.

Great video, it helped a lot installing the bed, but when tramming it I ran into the issue where I cannot tight the right screw any further and it is touching the heat plate. How should I proceed? I've opened the silicone and tighten those four screws alittle further but that did not help.

Thank you very much it will definitely help me as soon as (whennnn?) it arrives... one question.. why do you still have the firmware 1.00.00.06? did you encounter any anomalies with subsequent firmwares or did you simply not update knowing the warning it would show on the recall?
@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors

I haven't updated as I immediately ceased using the printer when the recall happened and didn't turn it on until the day of the video. I will update it eventually.

thank you for making this video and additional thanks for the helpful tips. I replaced my heatbed the other day, however I encountered an issue that I am trying to discuss with Bambu lab and that's the tramming. I ran the calibration and then did the tramming, and found that when the nozzle goes to position one on the bed, there is a gap, but then when it goes to the front right of the bed, it thunks down hard and pushes the bed down. is this a significant problem? will this cause any damage? do you know of a solution to this? I am getting increasingly frustrated about it.
@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors
@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors 2 ай бұрын
I've not encountered this so can't be sure. It sounds like there is an issue with the bed being attached to theY axis carriage (4 screws on top), was there possible something on the moving carriage that is keeping the bed from being level? Either that, or possibly an issue with the two screws on the underside that you loosen before tramming, but I can't think of what the issue there would be. Sorry! If it were me, I would remove the four top screws/bed, clean the Y carriage, reinstall the bed/4 screws, and then try tramming again.
@lucasp6993
@lucasp6993 2 ай бұрын
@@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors good tip. I will try that next. thank you, though when I first encountered the problem, I took the bed off it's mounting again to make sure, but I will make extra sure again and wipe it down thoroughly. One thing I did notice, is that on the bed there are 2 positions in the 4 sections of the mounting bracket, but the instructions are specific to put the mounting screw in the front holes the rail bracket attached to the main body has two screw paths at either end that are slightly raised, do you have any idea why that is and why only two of them are used?
@lucasp6993
@lucasp6993 2 ай бұрын
@@Tombof3DPrintedHorrors well, it looks like I was able to find a solution. I was able to recalibrate by slightly adjusting the main bed bracket screws, in the end it turned out to be only the back left screw by about half a turn and that did the trick. I completed the tramming process and all is well now.

Since I rebuilt the print bed, I occasionally get the message "heated bed sensor error" but everything is connected correctly and is not wobbling. Why is the error message displayed? It works every now and then, but then again it doesn't.
