I ordered 3 of just about everything just in case. I printed enough spools for all 4 slots and am making a respooler now. I think I will have to try the rings as I a using all of my filament for spools, tools and accessories. I have found the Bambu to be an ABS beast, i am using it to print parts for my Voron 2.4r2 (shhhhh, don’t let it know) 😅

Why in the world are you recommending that people buy a nozzle heater, thermistor, and silicone socks, when all of that comes with a new nozzle (which you recommend people buy extras of).
@techwithkramer
@techwithkramer 8 күн бұрын
Because things break and you don’t want to change the whole nozzle just because of a defect heater or thermistor. Same with Silicone socks, they break way before the nozzle is gone. Just years of experience and tens of thousands of hours running several Bambu printers…

@@techwithkramer Sure thing - this is my step to a reliable printer vs a "tinker with it constantly one" so making sure I bought the right getting started batch of accessories was important. You also helped me justify getting a full .6 hot end. I'm used to just swapping out nozzles, but pulling out the heater and thermistor to change sizes looks to be enough of a pain that I doubt I would do it in practice.
@MrDaneis
@MrDaneis Жыл бұрын
Buy the complete nozzle assembly. You don't want to be messing with the grease and all the extra steps. I promise... Get 2 hardened steel .6 nozzle complete assemblies and a hardened steel extruder. That way you'll have two .6 and two .4 nozzles on hand and an extra extruder.

I also have a creality but i have two jobs and i juggle a family of 5 so I'm unable to find the time to keep tinkering the Creality so much that i lost the confidence in selling my prints. Only cause of the lack of time. So had to buy this to keep some momentum

Larger nozzle does not print at a faster speed. It can shorten the print by printing higher layers. Larger nozzle means the flow increases. It’s wrong to say that you can print with sport/ludicrous mode with a .6 or .8 nozzle. The flow of a .8 nozzle is 4 times higher than a .4 nozzle.
@techwithkramer
@techwithkramer Жыл бұрын
As you say, the bigger Nozzles have higher flow - which can help with faster speeds, as the 0.4 does not have enough flow for the higher speeds. I think you should try it and see for yourself.

Good list. Mine pretty much matched yours. The X1 Carbon and P1P arrived within a few days of each other and then I realized that the nozzles - hot end assemblies are not the same. The P1P extruder is also different, so need two sets of parts for the printers. I also have an ARC mod kit that I'll be installing on the P1P so I can try to print ABS and other warp sensitive plastic. The X1 has been a great printer for PETG and ABS.
@techwithkramer
@techwithkramer Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I think the hot-end is the same even though the P1P includes a Stainless Steel and not a hardened steel nozzle, but the fans are different. You can however use the Hardened Steel Hot-ends with the P1P.

Yeah don't worry too much dude, I don't agree with a number of things on this vid. More nozzles are a nice to have, not a must have. Ptfe tubes do need replacing but again unless you're running a farm, you're not going to need it in the first 6 months. Same with the spare extruder. ... I feel like this guy just browsed the bambu website and decided to buy all the individual items then make a video about it. The nozzle wiper for example has a 3d printable replacement you can print rather than buy. Get your printer, print with it. Then worry about stuff as and when it breaks.
@techwithkramer
@techwithkramer Жыл бұрын
Some of the stuff came with the printer, that was part of the kickstarter campaign like the nozzle wipers and some nozzles. Of course you can buy nozzles once yours is no longer working, which will happen no matter what, I prefer to do it so I can switch them when it happens without having to wait. And you never know if there might be a shortage. But yes, it's what I do and recommend, you are free to do it differently.

Sir what support do you use for PETG? PETG itself or something else?

I still use the same material for support as for the actual print. I tried to use the W-Material from Bambu but could not get it off, and the white-on-brown was terrible. How do you know if you need to replace the filament cutter or PTFE tubes? Or should you just do it after a certain interval?
