First let me say this video should be on a USB stick and added to every Bambu A1 printer. It was spectacular, having just fumbled my way through a first time setup like a blind man in a porno shop. This was what I and every new Bambu A1 owner needs. Thank you for the exact data on the full and complete setup and testing and functions. The only small miss I would say I seen was connecting the PETG tubes to the hot end you didn’t say there was not order and these could be installed in any position as the order is set later, especially on non Bambu filaments. Really thanks and I will look for more of your videos and hope there are some on colour changing and supports. I personally have been printing for 8+ years but never with the Bambu labs software so there is a slight learning curve. Again thanks for the fantastic video.

I absolutely adore this printer. It is such a no hassle tool at such a reasonable price. This is the gold standard of home 3d printers. I would recommend the combo even if you don't want to do multicolor prints. You can get extremely clean prints with supports if you use PVA as an interface layer.

I'm really enjoying mine - if you can drop the $$ on the combo it's great but even as a single color printer the price is pretty competitive considering what else is on the market in that range.

Mine arrived today and is sitting in the hallway for me to build tomorrow so thank you for the video. I am not new to printing but was getting fed up with the amount of work I had to do with every print, same print, same settings, same filament and something would go wrong that I would have to tweak. So bad in the end I gave up printing. I'm hoping this will jump start me designing and printing again. I got the combo in the current sale and with 3 spools and 2 hot ends was still cheaper than my last printer.

I bit the bullet and just ordered an A1 with AMS! Replacing my old Ender 3 Pro I purchased about 6 years ago... if you can call it an Ender 3 still with all the mods and jank I added to it. Even though I'm not quite a beginner, the price of this printer was the #1 attraction. Automatic bed leveling, multi color printing, built in camera and app for monitoring, touch screen display, wifi connectivity.. the list goes on and on. I always thought you had to spend $1000+ for a printer with all these features so when I saw this for >$500 I was amazed. After seeing you guys say all good things I couldn't resist... Can't wait for it to arrive!

I really want to jump but the waste with these current multi material systems gives me pause especially with Bambu about to announce their new flagship soon. I would be willing to spend up to about 1800-2k if they release a multi tool head machine with 4 heads to compete with the prussa XL. I know as soon as I buy the A1 combo they are going to announce a 4 head printer

Wifi connection to 2.4. If your router/extender allows first change it to 2.4ghz only. Then connect the printer or any other 2.4 only device. Once connected turn 5.0ghz or auto back on. For nearly all devices as it has previously connected already it will do so again with the dual band on.

It's a great solution, I'll have to check to see if my Google nest mesh can do that!
@joepangean6770Ай бұрын
Go to your router settings and select "hide SSID" for the 5 GHz band or don't broadcast. Save setting which won't effect your 5 GHz connected devices. Run the Bambu Labs setup for the device and it will only see the 2.4 GHz band. Connect it with the password then go back to the router app to "unhide" the 5 GHz band. Since the 3D printer is already setup and connected it should work.

I have the a1 and mine looked different to yours. Mine has the braided cable (original had rubber) but my stopped at the back is moulded into the frame where as yours looks like it the one Bambu asked users to stick on. Also I got a bag of bolts (didn’t buy it) to allow me to screw the braces you can print. The other think I find a bit stupid Bambu have done is include that swatch for filament. It lost the petg basically filament but if you go on the website they have stopped selling petg basic filament
@EmbraceMaking4 ай бұрын
Probably different people getting the different stages of production when they fixed that cable - I also wasn't aware they stopped selling PETG basic, its too bad but I guess you can still use the colors as some kind of a reference to try and build a palette and then find another brand/material in similar color.

It would be REALLY nice if Bambu Labs were to offer a spool exchange of some sort and not waste the RFID chips in used spools by throwing them out. Do something like SodaStream does with their CO2 bottle exchange. This way Bambu Labs could just reuse the old spools with the same color on it as before and just resell it and maybe give you as the consumer $5 off your next purchase for each spool you return. You could even return the used spools in the same box your new spools come in. Bambu Labs could even include a shipping label that bills them for the return to make things easier. Using a cash-on-delivery (COD) label pre-printed in the box with the new spools would also be a better option than prepaid shipping labels as not everyone will take advantage of that or have any spools to return. It would be pretty simple to implement and they could advertise as an even more environmentally friendly company.

@EmbraceMaking Hello, can u give me an advice pls. I am looking for my first 3d printer choosing between, Bambu Lab A1 and Creality Ender-3 V3 (Core-XZ). Ender-3 looks like a better option, it can print carbon reinforced filaments out the box, and max bed temperature is up 110C which gives ability to print more materials. But lack of filament color switching system is a con.
@EmbraceMaking4 ай бұрын
I don't see why the A1 can't print the same materials as the V3... they are both open frame, and the A1 has a max nozzle temp of 300 and bed 100 so you can attempt to print a wide range of filaments. They both have steel nozzles so abrasives should be okay, and in both cases you will be hindered by not having an enclosure and the ambient temperature + possibility of cold draft if you are printing materials that like to warp. In a lot of ways the two machines are similar but the V3 has the interesting core xz. Out of the box default settings it seems like the V3 prints faster but I would say the quality on the A1 is slightly better, especially if you use Bambu Lab or eSun filament. I have a ton of Creality printers and I generally have no issue with them - I use them in my print farm, but I do feel like Bambu Lab spends more time refining their machines and software presets, you just pay more for them. If you need multi color then the choice is clear though.

Nice printer but it just takes far too long to change colours over. A simple two colour print which was black with red text on the top added an hour of print time to change from black to red. I don't know how many of you have done multi colour prints and swapped the filament manually but if you have how long does it take you to swap filaments? a minute or so max. Why on earth does a system of state of the art tech, that costs around £500 take an hour of extra print time to swap one single colour? Not efficient for a business at all.
