Thanks for the setup tutorial. I am waiting for mine to arrive. I love the Suno song generator as I use it as well. I started with an Anet A8 3D printer years ago and have been seduced by Bamboo Labs.
@OminousIndustries3 ай бұрын
Not a problem! Yes, suno is very cool, especially the newer versions of it. You will be blown away by the advancements in speed and quality that you see with the bambu. There is minimal to no actual printer tinkering required so it is essentially plug and play, a big departure from the older generations of printer!

@@OminousIndustries I liked the mini so much I sold my last 2 Elegoo Neptune printers and bought the A1 with AMS. The Bambu printers are amazing.

@@BriansModelTrains That is great to hear. I think your experience mirrors a lot of people's, mine included. We get these printers being used to ender3-like printers and these just feel like a new generation compared to those.

Very cool! They’re opening a new location near where I live and I can’t wait to start going there on the regular and get these deals myself!! Haha

Thanks very much! That's awesome you're getting one nearby, it's really nice to be able to go and shop a physical store for things like this which you can normally only get online. They often have some decent deals come up through the mailing list.

You DO NOT need a glue stick on a textured plate. That was the whole point of textured plates. Glue sticks are so 2017!
@OminousIndustries6 ай бұрын
I have found that it works better for me with glue. Even when I clean them with IPA and a microfiber cloth it eventually starts having adhesion issues a few prints later which is not a factor with the glue.
@bardimakes6 ай бұрын
@@OminousIndustriesi read that IPA is not good for textured plates u should just use a wet cloth!
@OminousIndustries6 ай бұрын
@@bardimakes That is something I hadn't heard. I will look more into that in this case!
@NWGR6 ай бұрын
@@bardimakes I've heard it both ways too, and that some people wash their plates with dish soap. For me though, I have four bambu printers (3 A1s and an A1 mini), all with the textured PEI plates and have had zero bed adhesion issues. I give the bed a wipe between prints with 91% IPA on rags made from old t-shirts.
@ghdesign_4 ай бұрын
@@OminousIndustries never use IPA on textured sheets. clean it with HOT water (hottest you can stand when washing it) and a good amount of dish soap. Let it air dry and then you're done. no other cleaning additives needed. Have been using my textured sheet on my X1 for close to a year now with ZERO times cleaning it. Just don't touch it with your fingers.

Welcome to Bambuland! I have four Bambu printers (3 A1s and an A1 Mini) but am very intrigued with the K2 plus. The thing is, I don't have the confidence that creality can deliver a reliable printer. They have a bad habit of following the modern AAA game release mantra of "release broken, fix later", so some time after the K2 plus releases we'll get the "K2 Plus C" that implements fixes to issue that shouldn't have been present in the first iteration. Hopefully I'm wrong and they release a banger, but we'll see. It was the same situation with the anycubic kobra 3 combo; their ACE unit is pretty nice, but the printer has the typical "speedrun to release" issues.
@OminousIndustries6 ай бұрын
Your assessment exactly mirrors my feelings on this. Seeing the K1 come out, and then have multiple revisions in a short span of time has ruined my relationship with creality, at least in terms of any of their "high speed" corexy printer releases. It is a shame because I have two CR6-Max printers with over 4k combined hours on them and they were wonderful, albiet slow machines that never missed a beat and often did 60+ hour prints. Once I returned my first K1 for a P1P I realized the bambu hype was not unearned and use them as my main printers now.
@NWGR6 ай бұрын
@@OminousIndustries I had the same skepticism with bambu when I first heard about them, but I took a chance on an A1 mini back in february and it's been a great experience ever since. Amazing prints, fast, reliable.
@OminousIndustries6 ай бұрын
@@NWGR Same here. I started with a p1p and now have that, a p1s and the A1 mini now. So far I have no need for any multi color prints so I have held off on anything with ams but will at some point probably end up with one.
@NWGR6 ай бұрын
@@OminousIndustries I haven't either, but like you, will probably get an AMS lite. What intrigues me is support material interface for easy support removal; it basically uses a different material as the couple of interface layers between the supports and actual print so the supports come off easier with less clean up. My wife has a mini I gave her and she wants one for the multicolor printing.

yes, they do this now. The allen keys are now just standard metal ones without the handle also 😂 Mine has the stamp from August 2024 on it, came yesterday 14.12.2024, so it´s a lot longer, probably to safe money on the tools 😅
