The wait is over! Here is the first chapter and pilot of the alternate ending BANANA FISH FOREVER: D
Remember that this animation IS NOT ORIGINAL. It is an animated fanfic that I made with a lot of love for the fandom. It is a project by and for non-profit fans. All characters used in this work are the property of Akimi Yoshida and Estudio Mappa.

he didn't actually die. on the official banana fish website his picture isn't grey and only grey pictures of the characters is dead. he only died in the manga and the ending to the series is self proclaimed so u can also decide what happened afterwards he fell "asleep"

This is the ending Ash deserved! Its a little selfish for us to still want him to keep living despite all the trauma he had as a child, but we cannot take away the fact that after all the tragedy he went through, spending more time with the person who made him feel the love he always deserved is better than him resting in peace. Ash was robbed of his entire teenage life, and seeing the rest of his life snatched before he even began seeing the world in a beautiful perspective is just unnacceptable. I am grateful for your recreation, this is the ending that I will believe from now on!

ugh i love this animatic so much😩. everything about the story is canon to their characters such as ash becoming a surgeon because he wanted to save lives instead of killing them (along with him being fully capable due to his iq), ash still having his trauma despite several years passing (many people i fanfics acted like they'd be cured because he's happy with eiji, which isn't how it works), eiji not forcing/ gently asking ash to open up about his nightmares, etc. i love your work sm🥺💘
