Those square spring roll wrappers looks more convenient than the regular circular ones we traditionally make lumpia with here in the Philippines. Cutting them into triangle made wrapping a lot easier and it looks more stable and neat. The problem I have with wrapping with the circular wrap is that sometimes, if not done right, the wrapper can open up when frying or handling.

My late husband's brother is married to a Filipino woman named Nora. Nora showed us, years ago, how to make Lumpia. The prep is rather tedious, with having to finely dice everything (we used onions, carrots and potato, along with the ground meat and purchased Lumpia skins from our local Asian market) but the end result was definitely worth it. We would make a big plate of Lumpia rolls and just munch on them throughout the evening while watching scary movies :)

Samantha Cruz Do we even need to know that fucking story? Is it something we can benefit from? So what if you could sit all day and devour all the lumpia at your house? What a joke.

............ Jollibee should strike a partnership with Jufran. Offer banana sauce as a tangy alternative to the gravy they always give you (by default) when you order fried chicken from them.

the Navy's Seabees in Port Hueneme during the end of the Vietnam war moved a family from ( I want to say Cambodia) in to the condo next door to ours and my parents befriended them. the military got them beds and clothes and just sticks of furniture. They always had a huge bag of rice in the kitchen. they showed us how to make egg rolls but they were vegie and we added pork and made them huge like a pillow. the neighbours liked them spicy hot XD I loved them so much
