You have done a good job analyzing the traditional Brahmin restaurants in Trichy. Looking at the background tables, stools, the interiors with God pictures I recollected the many Brahmin food joints I had visited in Villupuram, Cuddalore, Vridhachalam and Pondicherry during my career days in 1967-70 at South Arcot district. I came to CBE after that. In neighboring Kerala even today, the hotels run by Brahmins paint their name boards as BRAHMINS HOTEL. There were no Brahmins in Kerala; all of them migrated from Tamil Nadu.In Tamil Nadu before 1967, there were hotel boards as Brahmins Hotel in every town/city. Congratulations on this fine video which shows the rava Pongal, Rava butter roast, Sambar vadai, Keerai vadai, Curd vadai, Poori masala and filter coffee of Adhikudi Coffee Club in Trichy. Looking forward to more such shots.

Want to mention a spot inside teppakkulam entrance right side Chinthamani canteen, only few knows that spot, it's a token system ever crowded, always no place to sit there. Then rockfort looks awesome from cavery bridge to chatram bus stand, it will give a look rockfort is straight a head. Then from karur bypass road just looking left side the srirangam temple gopuram look nice. During night time from st.joseph church the rockfort looks gorgeous. These spot are like refreshing the mind at glance so relaxing. There is another spot from musuri to trichy near the water sides from sirugambur to bridge they tell srirangam all gopuram view has straight line. So it's another side of srirangam gopuram.

Go to Dharapuram friends coffee shop. Night 7 to 8 clock rava dosasii available. You never get that kind of rava dossa any we’re not available in the world.

மிகவும் பழைய பாரம்பரிய உணவகம், திருச்சிக்கு தொழில் சார்ந்து வந்து செல்லும் 60% மக்களுக்கும் இந்த உணவகம் தெரியும் ,60 வருடமாக நான் அறிவேன்.அதற்கு முன்பே எனது தகப்பனார் அறிவார் . கடையில் தலைமுறை மாறியிருக்கும் , இடம் ,உணவு மாறவில்லை. விலை அதிகம் ஏறவில்லை!, பாரம்பரியத்தை காப்பாற்றுவோம் !

I was a regular customer since 1977 upto 1988. On Fridays. Akkaravadasil and Adai avial super combo. I think they still continue this. During my next visit to Trichy my tiffin only at Athikudi. All items were super then. Likewise vennai rava and coffee super.

My father left well paid job in TNAU and his native place CBE to enjoy such eateries in Trichy with blessings from Srirengam Renganathar. Please visit The Mayavaramlodge at Vanapattari near rock fort Teppakulam at Trichy. Recently archaeological department included them as a heritage hotel.

Adhikudi.... Don't how the Raghavan didn't mention... This was the first ever hotel to have brought in the Combo concept... SKC aka Sweet Kaaram Coffee was served in Adhikudi way back in 80s

I was working at Tiruchy from 1967-1972 and I used to take tiffin especially adai aviyal and aromatic coffee.There was a royal tree(அரசமரம்)abutting this tiffin center giving a panoramic and majestic look. It is really shocking that this tree has been cut for widening the road.

Yes, it still functions well and now serves lunch as well. The third generation Mr. Sesha runs the hotel. I had their signature dish Adai Aviyal last Thursday and their Ghee dosai is also very good.

In 1980 I went to this restaurant with my husband the food was good as we were newly married they gave us kesari without artificial colour the people who served didn't wear shirts pucca Brahmin costume copper dabara set for coffee food in plantain leaf we have to remove the leaf after eating. Good
