Dave, they sang in unison much of the time, which is why it's hard for them to perfom live. They did all the harmony tracks, and they did the separate melody tracks in unison. Strange how their finesse and sound couldn't be duplicated. S.A.W, tried, but couldn't duplicate them. Banarama was an organic vocal group. They started out as friends and in clubs like Diana Ross and the Supremes.
