I’m always blown away by the quality of appliances from yesteryear. Everything nowadays seems so cheap and weightless. Things like the old blender seem to last forever and work just as intended 😊

When I decided to buy a stand mixer, I purposely went out to find a Kitchen Aid model from 1986 or prior. Kitchen Aid was sold to Whirlpool in 1987, but prior to that, was still made by Hobart, which still manufactures commercial kitchen equipment. Was 33 years old when I bought it, and 5 years later, you could still practically mix a batch of concrete with it.
