@@brennerborec3422 Known issue, as stated by OP. Google headlight issue ninebot. Just replace one piece or bridge it, iirc.

You didnøt remove the capasitor from the PCB that you flashed? it's stil on the pcb. First you bridge it ad after that the capasitor is back on the pcb?

Wondering if you could clear something up. When ordering a control board off of Amazon or eBay is it important to get one that says "Pre-Activated" ? ? Or does it matter? I ordered a board that's supposedly Pre-Activated in case I need to replace my board some day. I was told that even if it isn't Pre-Activated that you can use the serial number shown in the app for the current control board? Where does one enter the serial number? It would be great if you could make a video like this for basic control board replacement (using basic control boards offered on eBay and Amazon) . Great video. Lots of info!

ES2 doesn't have external battery, unless you add it. Then it is ES4 style. You can flash the custom firmware through bluetooth once the ESC is unlocked. You can flash the default firmware upgrades for Dashboard, ESC and Internal/External batteries with the default ninebot app, but not custom firmware, for that you must use something like XiaoFlasher

Hi, I have an ex-rental Neuron N3 scooter that had water damage, I bought a new head for it but when I plug it in it says "End of ride blah blah" and won't send power to the drive wheel. My question is, is it possible to re-write the STM32F103RCT6 chip to boot differently or trick it into thinking that it's just starting a ride? Try changing the volt connection on you ST link. For me 5 didn´t work but 3.3 did.

It's the same thing. You need to change your wiring on the ST link. Choose 3.3 volt instead of 5.0V. I had the same issue.

Friend I have been working with the St-Link V2 but lately when I connect to the STM32 ST-LINK Utility I get an error like this: 18:42:50 : Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlug mode from Target->Settings menu. If you're trying to connect to a low frequency application , please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu. 18:42:51 : No target connected Know what is causing this problem, so far I can not solve it and I have updated drivers :C

This depends on what dashboard you have. Most ex-rentals dont have a dashboard, besides Spin, which will show a blank dash. As long as you have a dash, you just need to flash the ESC, and it should work.

HI, thanks for your work, I have a ES2 Ninebot with original external battery and like say on the hacking tool (With stock battery voltage (36-42V), the scooter will not go faster than 35km/h at full charge.) You know how to go faster than this 35Km/h? Even in downhill the scooter break itself to go 35km/h, I read that the solution is to connect a serial mode battery to up the voltage, I think to connect de external battery on serial mode modifying the connection, but 74Volts is possible? . No~ GPS typically requires a cellular service, aka a SIM card, etc. All of that is in the rental scooter 'box' on top of handlebars, or located on front.

Unfortunately you need to flash them separately as you can only connect to one Bluetooth device at once.

I wasn't thinking about that and I disassambled the whole scooter than connected dashboard to PC and flashed it - I followed your steps except the last step when you connected it via bluetooth to finish the installation. I did just the same with motherboard - everything without bluetooth step. Can I somehow fix that or will I have to get new working dash/motherboard to get those two going?

@@PCaliph Sorry I'm not quite sure if I understand. The only way you can flash the speed controller with OFW is via the ST Link procedure. You can update it to the most recent update of OFW via the official Bluetooth app however.

I did everything the same as you did except the last phases when you connected speed controller/dashboard via bluetooth and did the final instalation. I have the speed controller/dashboard prepared for bluetooth connection phase but the problem is that both of them (not only one) are now in this stage when they need to be connected via bluetooth - speed controller to change the serial number and dashboard to install the custom firmware. May I assemble them back together and just try to connect to PC via bluetooth to finish these things or is it risky that something would go wrong? Thank you.

I flashed it, but I have error 35 (Ok, it's normal), but I can't connect through bluetooth. Bluetooth seems not active. And... Display is shut down. It shows for a moment and after second it turns off. There are signals (35) and I can turn on or off The light but no display. Also, when I hold brake or throttle while turn on scooter, it gives me error for brake or throttle (14, 15) and when I release it, no error and scooter working normal (but still no display) Any help how to fix it?

At 19:06 you talk about clones or original firmware. I have followed all the steps but can´t flash. "Error ocurred during flash writing. The flash may be protected" So what does that mean? I got my ex rental scooter to go a little faster but I always have to press the brake lever when starting or plugin it in?

Search for that exact error message. In the flash procedure, you may need to change an option in ST Utility to set the write mode, iirc. This flash procedure overrides any protections. So the issue you are coming across is likely by missing part of the process or a ST Utility option.

hello folks i need help on a nonebot es4 scooter i just bought. i found out the wires to the handle bar was cut. so i resoldered the wires and i charged the battery and the scooter powers on and i down loaded the app to activate and no acceleration. just sits as i push the throttle. do i have to actual get a running start to activate the wheel as i push on the throttle? sorry folks i'm a dummy with scooters. i would appreciate some words of advice please.
