Banbury South Box - The View From Inside

Lasting in service until August 2016, Banbury South signalbox was a busy and interesting place to work. Working between Aynho Junction and Banbury North it latterly inherited the former which was worked via a small entrance/exit panel, though at the time of this film, Aynho Junction Box was still operational and the whole sections were worked by Absolute Block.

Nice to hear a Westinghouse frame clatter again, my biggest regret was never filming in my local box but then it was never as busy as this one.

It might well be but you haven't heard a Westinghouse frame in this video. Banbury South had a GWR VT5 frame made at Reading Signal Works.
