As non-biodegradable wastes like plastics continue to accumulate and contribute to environmental problems, ‘recycling’ has become a very important global topic. For some reasons, people have not developed the culture of promoting the re-use of materials. This essay will examine possible explanations for this and also present practical solutions to this issue

Here's my intro Lately, recycling of waste materials has been a trend which has environmental benefits as well as job creation and innovation. Despite, reusing of waste has a tremendous possibility of contributing to individual, national and global economies, yet most people neglect its essence. With many reasons for failing to recycle waste products, lack of awareness raising and innovation skills on re-usable refuse are primary.

Hey! Let me know your thoughts on this essay. Writing Task 2 (practice) The environment suffers from severe damage because of the misuse and over-exploitation of the resources on earth. This problem escalates to its peak when many people do not recycle or reuse objects. If this misconduct continues, humans will be the cause of degradation of the environment and endangerment of exotic animals’ species. In this essay, I will address some main problems that lead to environment degradation and share simple ways to solve them. The major reasons why many people do not recycle waste materials are lack of awareness and facilities. It is quite evident that this problem is mainly in third world countries or areas that authorities are unable to access. Firstly, the reason why people do not recycle is because they are not aware of the benefits of recycling. Recycling leads to less waste which naturally in turn keeps our surroundings clean. Besides, reusing materials is cost efficient and economical. One way to overcome this obstacle is to set up awareness campaigns with the help of social media or talk to people in your locality about it. Another action is to write to local newspapers and spread the word. The second challenge is the lack of governmental facilities. Sadly, sometimes many people have no choice but to throw away waste materials because of the lack of appropriate organizations that can recycle waste. However, the solution is straightforward. We can reuse waste materials at home easily. For example, use old shirt as a kitchen rag, use soda bottles and plastic bags for storage, and donate used books to charities or schools. In conclusion, the steps to solve environmental degradation are easy. I believe that it can only be solved if all of us come together and incorporate these practices in our daily life. Our small steps will create a better earth for generations to come.

I read the inro only and already noticed a huge mistake you did. You're starting too far away from the topic. Here you're not supposed to talk about pollution and environment degradation, but about recycling only. What you said simply means "k, here are the ways we damage ecology" and then you can literary include like factories, cars, etc. Initially though you only needed to explore the recycling topic and nothing else.

You already deviated from the original topic. The question is asking "WHY" people aren't recycling the household wastes; however, you answered the consequences that may arise when people ignore reclycling.

The habit of recycling waste materials is not as common around the world as it should be. People are often unenthusiastic about recycling because they find the activity tedious and they aren’t aware of its importance. I think that this can be solved by making the process of recycling easier and informing society about the severity of the problem. The main reasons for why people aren’t keen on recycling their waste are quite simple. The first is that the rules and procedures of recycling, that are often hard to follow. In theory plastic, glass, metal and paper should be separated and all recycled, but it turns out that not all types of plastic can be and it goes to landfill instead. And what about packaging that used multiple types of materials? That can’t be recycled either. When people are faced with this information, they find it overwhelming and decide to abandon recycling altogether. Another factor that plays into that is the fact that the majority of the population isn’t aware of the huge impact lack of recycling has on the environment. They know they should be recycling but don't feel obligated to because they don't see the problem as that severe. The solutions to this are almost as simple as the reasons themselves but they require joint effort from the governments as well as the civilians. First, the recycling labels should be designed to be as simple as possible and indicate clearly to the user if the material can be recycled and if so, where it should be discarded. Furthermore, there should be more recycle bins available, those placed on the streets as well as those that can be used inside, preferably already with built-in compartments so that the people don't have to buy separate bins. And secondly awareness campaigns should be advertised globally to raise the issue and its consequences. It should be done simply but impactfully so that it appeals to people of all ages. To summarize, the issue of recycling stems from the inconvenient rules and methods and the general misunderstanding of the problem. I believe that if recycling was made easy and accessible to everybody and the dangerous consequences of its omission was widespread, people would be much more inclined to do the right thing. what do you think?

Recycling materials such as glass, plastic and cartons is an important practice that helps to reduce our impact on the environment. Many people across the world, however, do not recycle their waste and send everything to landfill. This essay will discuss why this might be the case and how this problem can be alleviated / The causes of this problem seem to lie in lack of awareness and convenience; each should be addressed separately. One of the reasons why recycling is not as popular is that the people are unfamiliar with the concept altogether. The old concept of treating waste as garbage is yet to be eradicated and the idea that selected used materials can be reused by further processing is still loose at large. For instance, despite many plastic recycling machines being installed on numerous train stations in Mumbai, people still throw their bottles in the bins, since they are unaware of their purpose and locations. Another reason is that there are less provisions in place that make it easy for individuals to go out of their way and work towards recycling. A good example of this will be the unavailability of bins that say “recyclable material” in and around public places like malls and parks, that would help people to naturally start the recycling process. The authorities need to play a crucial role in presenting solutions to the above problem. Promoting ads and organizing campaigns in densely populated areas explaining the economic and environmental benefits of recycling will ensure that the idea reaches a magnitude of people in a very short time. Social media is a great medium to help promote the agenda by creating and forwarding interactive posts. Besides, the local bodies can simultaneously make provisions for infrastructure that will enable the populace to indulge in good practices. Meanwhile, imposing some rules and regulations in public places will also ensure the cooperation of people in the vicinity. In conclusion, the dilemma associated with recycling as a process is quite naïve as compared to the variety of solutions that can be implemented to uproot them. In other words, a small step from each of us can help us ensure that we as well as our future generations profit from the remunerations of recycling.

As a matter of fact, recycling is an important phenomenon that can mitigate the harmful effect of harmful environmental damage. Accordingly, many environmental activists have debated this issue and provided some solutions. This essay will delve into 2 main causes and a solution. To begin with, one of the primary grounds is that in some countries, individuals are unaware of the importance of separating wet from dry litter such as: vegetables, fruit peels, papers, cardboards, and coca or water bottles in the recycling bin, so they keep mixing both kinds of refuse excessively over and over. though, the dry waste will not be capable to be utilized again. Besides, inconvenience and lack of easy access to public recycling dustbins in each neighborhood is also another problem. Particularly, there might be a single huge bin in which combined garbage is taking place there that ends up going into landfill. The way that this vital subject needs to be tackled is through raising public awareness. considering that government play a huge role in educating people and even kids since early age and providing each city or even rural areas with facilities like free recycling bins that make people more comfortable to do so, But I assume that the key method is that governors should enact a strict rule that everyone must obey otherwise they will be heavily fined or may be deprived of a common service. To conclude, as I stated above, recycling can alleviate the destructive harm to nature. Hence human being alongside government can encounter this difficulty.

This was the essay that I was able to write along following the instructions in the video: Waste material recycling is a crucial activity that helps in maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment. Un-recycled waste that ends up in landfills pollutes the surrounding environment in myriads of ways and this is a problem in many countries, where safe recycling practices are not followed rigorously. In this essay, we are going to discuss two reasons why this happens and also talk about what can be done to solve this problem. The following are reasons as to why waste recycling seems to not be followed rigorously in many countries. First, there is a lack of awareness amongst people. For an idea to be considered seriously, they need to be exposed to it often. When they are not educated or reminded constantly about the importance of recycling, it does not gain much importance amongst people. Secondly, it is a widely accepted fact that to establish some practice into everyday routine, it has to be strictly followed. Not having stringent rules and mechanisms to keep bad recycling practices in check is one other reason why this is still continuing in many countries. Since recycling waste requires some effort, if there are no measures to keep things in check, people will always find ways to avoid this and stick to existing ways of dumping their refuse. Now we will be discussing the various solutions that can help solve this problem. Creating awareness amongst the public can help address this issue. When people are educated about how harmful unrecycled waste is to the environment and the various advantages that waste recycling confers, this trend will change. The government and various NGOs can play a crucial role here by sending out posters, advertisements on TV, Radio, and Newspapers and also by running awareness campaigns in both residential areas and educational institutions. Thereby the community as a whole can participate in recycling waste. Alongside running educational campaigns, strict rules and regulations can be placed with respect to waste recycling. Laws can be put forth and regular checks can be conducted amongst the community to ensure people do not violate them and follow recycling practices as per standards. For example, there could be rules as simple as having two bins at home, one for dumping wet waste and one for dumping dry waste such as newspapers, cartons, and cardboard boxes. While initially, it might take some time for people to get habituated to these practices, over time this will become the default. While avoiding recycling waste is a big problem in many countries, it is not something that cannot be solved. In this essay, we saw two reasons as to why this problem exists: lack of awareness amongst people and stringent laws and measures not being present to keep this problem in check. It is proposed that the Government and various organizations should pitch in to help solve this problem through awareness campaigns and also in monitoring waste recycling practices closely. By following these measures, I believe that this problem can be alleviated to an extent, thereby leaving our surroundings cleaner, healthier and safer.

Recycling waste material is extremely important. It is perhaps the most effective way to protect and preserve our environment for future generations. Having said that, not all countries recycle waste equally and efficiently. In fact, in some countries, people do not recycle waste item, such as bottle and newspapers, at all. This short write up will look at some possible reasons for this, while also highlighting some easy solutions. The first reason could simply be the lack of awareness. If people are unaware of the damage these items could have on our environment, they probably won’t make the effort to have them recycled. The second reason people fail to recycle bottles and newspapers could be the lack of infrastructure. For example, if there are no special disposal units in their apartment complex, they may simply discard these items along with their everyday trash. Alternatively, if these disposal units are few and far between, people may not be willing to put in the extra effort to visit a community recycling center or something of that sort. Fortunately, the solutions to these problems are extremely straightforward. To begin with, governments should educate people about the benefits of recycling and the ill effects of avoiding it. Ideally, this should be done at a grassroot level, like schools and colleges. This ensures that the next generation grows up with the habit of recycling. The next part of the solution is the develop recycling infrastructure to ensure it is easy to dispose such items in an ecofriendly manner. Better infrastructure removes the effort barrier to recycling and ensures people do it more willingly. A third solution would be to offer some incentive for recycling such items. It doesn’t have to be a large reward, just something that will encourage people to recycle these materials, as opposed to simply discarding them. In conclusion, I would just like to say that this planet is our only home. Therefore, it is our duty to take care of it. And simple things like recycling bottles and newspapers can go a long way in this regard. It doesn’t take much effort, but it can make a huge difference.

Recycling waste material is considered to be one of the most important missions to prevent the environment from deterioration. Till date, tons of plastic decompose from bottles and dumps of newspaper do not reach the recycle stage across the globe, even in the most developed nations. This essay shall enlighten the reasons and provide a plausible solution. Ignorance is bliss. However, ignorance of potential disaster could only cause havoc. People in general are unaware about where the plastic waste material ends up at the end of it’s cycle. Not being aware leads to prevention of the right action steps. The solution to this is bringing awareness by showcasing the polluted water bodies, filled with plastic bottles and newspaper which could have been recycled and the repercussions of it, if left in that state. In continuation, running away from the responsibility is another big reason for material not being recycled. Accountability is tough and it is always easier to blame others than being on the other side. The answer lies in incentivizing, by either morally or monetarily. Making people feel good about recycling by rewarding their work on a national level or by providing monetary benefits for the same. In conclusion, spreading awareness on the recycling mission and incentivizing the recycling process can eventually lead people to recycle the dangerous material which is burdening the mother earth and its various life forms.

Asiya, thank you very much for the IELTS Academic course -- very well-structured, logical, and not overloaded. I only had a month to prepare, writing was my biggest challenge, so I tried to memorize and follow your guides as much as possible. More than anything, they helped me to focus, plan fast and use time most efficiently. Got an overall 8.5: 9 for listening and reading, 8 for speaking, and 7 for writing, which is more than enough for my purposes. Will continue working on writing without the pressure of the exam. Thank you 🙏

Hi Asiya! How are you ? I am so thankful to your videos...my IELTS is going to be on January 22, 2022... I am training my essays according to your lessons. Would you mind to check If my structure (paraphrase + thesis statement + outlined ideas) is well located in my introduction paragraph below? Task 2: Many argue that schools are no longer necessary because children can learn so much from the internet and be educated at home. Do you agree or disagree? After centuries, the current world experiences the possibility to understand or, at least trying to figure out, what and how the knowledge about everything ever seen is comprehended by human brains. Either being a student at the school or performing teaching skills as a teacher, nowadays the method has been changed to a new fashion about learning process, which is the internet-based lessons. This essay agrees that saving time and money through not being in-person at the education settings like universities, lead learners to the success as much as if they were there.

In today’s world recycling has been a major problem in many countries such as daily journals, bottles etc. people should take part in recycling these products to help the environment. This essay will depict why this can be a problem and how we can eliminate it. The reason for lack of recycling is quite simple. Firstly, in many country people are not aware about recycling products like glass, papers, and plastics; and they dump all those garbage into just one garbage which can hard the environment very badly. Seeing one person doing these kind of activities other people starts to follow the same practices and it will make the situation works. Secondly, lack of inconvenience can be a problem for people without even putting their thought into it they mix all types of rubbish together and it makes it hard for garbage pickers to separate the garbage. In order for people to be more aware I believe that public campaign can be a good start for government to spread some awareness to people to follow recycling practices at home, such as using two different dustbins as a separate dustbin for recycling materials and a different garbage container for food related waste; leading party can also send flyers to every one and educate people how to segregate these materials, which can help the environment keep it clean. Having less of inconvenience people tent to avoid separating garbage, ruling party should provide a public recycling contain in each area so people can use those containers to throw those in their respected place and it will be easier for garbage picker to differentiate. To conclude, I believe that products like glass, papers, and other recycling materials are not disposed in the way they should be due to not having proper education and lack of accessibility to the general public, can hinder this situation more; however, providing more sources and educating people can help to reduce this problem.

My writing for the topic: Recycling used materials such as glass, plastics and paper is one the most important practice in modern world to reduce the unwanted climate changes caused by massive landfills and poisonous gases emitted after burning these wasted products. However, many people across the world do not recycle their used products and instead send everything to landfills. This essay will discuss some of the major reasons why this might be the case and how this problem can be alleviated. The major reasons people do not reuse the material is the lack of the awareness and cheap availability of new materials, due to which they find recycling techniques inconvenient and boring and ultimately opting for the newer materials at much lower price. In addition, they are also uninformed about the dreadful effect caused to mother nature by these waste materials. For example, the plastic bottles and papers are either burned down or thrown away without using it for other daily means causing a massive effect on already deteriorating situation of the unwanted climate change. The solution of this problem, firstly lies in educating people about the methods and procedures of recycling and providing them with the clear steps to readopt each material type. In addition, provide them with the rewards for reusing the said materials and also propose a penalty for throwing materials without utilizing it for the second time. In conclusion, the unawareness and easy access to the brand new materials by people around the world has reduce the practice of reusing the materials. Therefore, a major campaign is utmost necessary to guide and educate the people by proposing a reward and penalty system to choose the recycling of used materials.

Appropriate waste disposal methods are not active around the globe where plastics, polyethene, and paper are concerned. This is identified as a global issue where the sustainability of an environment is mattered, this essay will highlight some reasons to why non-biodegradable items are not disposed and potential solutions to those problems identified. Firstly, plastic disposal projects and campaigns could be expensive where many developing countries cannot afford the machinery, manpower etc. Developing countries such as Sri Lanka and India currently suffer from economical threats where government bodies cannot actively contribute towards such programs. However, as humankind face an ecological crisis, appropriate disposal should be in place in every country by requesting for aids from developed countries to implement plans and relevant systems. If measures are set, people could adhere to them and behave accordingly. Secondly, Insufficient awareness of the crisis which has caused inadequate measures that are currently in place. Society is not aware of the damages ineffective disposal could cause, such as, threat to marine ecosystems, for instance in Sri Lanka, endangered turtles die due to plastics in the sea. Similarly, If there was a proper system, these creatures could have been saved. As per the solution, government bodies could join hands with education providers to begin campaigns that could increase awareness amongst communities. In addition, social media platforms could be utilized to promote projects and attract public attention. These solutions could possibly lower the harm. In conclusion, the global issue of discarding non-biodegradable items has put the environment in danger hence leaders around the world should try to change current systems to facilitate all countries to dispose right.

A lot of people in the world are not recycling materials such as plastic, bottles and papers, that I think one huge global problem. In this essay, I will discuss what might be the reasons for this and what actions can we do about the issue. For me there are two major reasons on this recycling problem. Firstly, the lack of knowledge on how important recycling is for us all. I, personally have colleagues whom do not follow the simple segregation system for a mere reason that they do not know its importance and how would they benefit from doing such thing. Another shortcoming I can see is the strict implementation of recycling. Although, there are posters and signages placed on the trash bins, management do not put specific people to check and impose the rule, that is why the program is being neglected and disobeyed. To educate people on how valuable recycling is, use of TV commercials can be a perfect platform for public awareness. It is not easy to educate all the people in the world but, with the use of technology and entertainment we can reach everyone and deliver the information right away. Having a support from the government and business owners to strictly implement recycling in every part of workplace can be the ultimate solution for his global problem. People will do the right thing if someone is watching and correcting them. In conclusion, everyone of us need to be educated on the importance of recycling and how we and the next generations would benefit from it. Moreover, having in full control on the implementation of the program can be the vital step for us to be guided to do the right thing. Hi! Can I ask for your comments and suggestion about my work.

Even though the world is substantially progressing to undergo modern developments, some parts of society still live in a third-world mentality whereby waste materials are not recycled for instance bottles, newspapers, and plastic bottles which reaps tremendous benefits if done so. This essay will explain the possible explanations why this issue still continues and also presents practical solutions to reduce and effectively eliminate this problem.

The impact of increasing waste materials has compromised our environmental condition significantly. One of the best solutions known is recycling. However, most countries around the world often fail to do this practice. In this essay, I will point out two reasons why this happens and lay down possible solutions to address the presented problems. One cause of why recycling seems to be impossible is the lack of existing laws pertaining to preserving the environment. Most lawmakers seem to be focused on other problems of the society like criminality and poverty. Another reason is the attitude of people toward recycling. Most people seem to neglect this practice simply because the idea was not inculcated in their minds at a young age. To solve this problem, it is best that lawmakers start to pass laws concerning existing environmental issues. Specific laws in regard to proper waste segregation of every household must be made. On top of that, these laws must be properly executed by law enforcers inorder for it to be effective. Another solution is to address how people view recyling. The importance of environment preservation and ways to achieve it such as recycling should be taught to people as early as in preschool; therefore, including these topics to the school curriculum will help mould people to become more empathic to the environment. In conclusion, making more laws and educating people starting from their younger years are two of the best solutions to address recycling problems. I believe that if these two solutions are done by each country around the world, waste impact to our environment will be significantly alleviated.
