Good morning Alba, and thank you very much! Yes, the Gurkhas are great. As you see, the band plays at a faster speed (more beats per minute) on the march up, when providing musical support for the Gurkhas, than when marching back down. The weather here today is, yet again, very miserable and rainy, so I'll have to try and enjoy the day indoors.

@@charlottecunningham2141 Hello Charlotte, have you already a new favorite DM? I know Carson, but i'm a loyal woman, my favorite one will be always Chambers, although he's going to take on a new role!! Aah you Americans, change wife and husband like your socks in the morning!😄 Wish you a lovely weekend🤗

@@AlbaAlba-fg2iohello. Yeah Gareth Chambers will always be my #1. I never knew about him or the guards and bands until the queen passed. My limited knowledge was seeing a couple of guards at Buckingham in the booths. When I watched her funeral, I was wondering who the man was leading the band out of Buckingham and what a huge and important responsibility he had. #2 is Peter Brydon but I don’t see him nearly as often as I used to. Paul has impressed me from the first time I saw him with his, “lean back,” smooth style of marching and he had been MIA for a bit. I just realized I have a thing for Irish men🤭I have a couple of American crushes but in reality, none of us could probably tolerate each other for the long term. I’ll love on them in my mind. Have a good weekend

@@AlbaAlba-fg2io I agree the incomparable Mr. Chambers is always a delight to watch. Any idea what his new role will be? One where we’ll still get to see him every now and again! 😊

@charlottecunningham2141 Hello Charlotte, and good morning (although a different day now)! Thanks for the comments. There was certainly a lot of coverage of one of your original "favorite spectators" although, as usual, I didn't see her at the time I was filming as I was concentrating on the Band and Guards. And similarly a good capture of Peter - he was also in my original film-clip from 24 September (Household Cavalry) although I had to cut the piece off because the police vehicle was totally obscuring the view of the band. We mustn't let fame go to his head!

Good afternoon Sir, no I don't know what our mythical Sir Chambers will do soon, surely he will take on a prestigious role, as he deserves!!

Why must we have the police fronting a Military march?? It's even worse when the plods are on horseback and the horses crap all over the parade ground. I don't recall the plods coming ashore on D Day or the Falklands war. The Royal Marines marching along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace have to have a plod leading the way ~ out of step of course. No show without Punch then.

Completely agree with you there mate! I think it's ridiculous to have the police infront of British military parades, instead they should stand at least to the side so they are not in the way of the band. Or, they should learn how to march properly and actually get in step and not make parades look like shite.

@@Account.Not.Used.Anymore More agreement. Also don't see the point of the assault rifle toting plods looking accusingly at the crowd of harmless gawping tourists. And if there were to be any terrorists the first ones they take out would be them, surely. I've objected like you and @tomhollandroberts1737 before without support , so glad to see you two . Not that it will make any difference though.
