I’m late to this, but thanks for this reaction. I only know at least 10 words in Japanese but hearing Puzzle and Anemone made me tear up, these ladies vocals just tugged at my heartstrings. They just convey so much emotion and passion to this song that it transcends language barriers.

Conversation 8:25 K&S: Thank you. 8:31 K: We've performed Acoustic song in Nagoya, Osaka. S:Yes. 8:36 K: But we didn't played this song (Puzzle) that two shows, So we decided to play this song! 8:46 K:Yes, we've received message from master&princess(fan's name) to play Acoustic. and then, Sai-chan (Saiki's nickname) said "Let's play." So we're performing today! 9:02 One of the fan: You're glad, aren't you? 9:03 S: (Repeat what he said) K:Yes. 9:07 K: I really love Saiki. I'm glad to play with.... 9:14 S: You don't need to mention that. 9:18 K:Anyway, all the seats are sold out today. Thank you. 9:26 K:Really, I think many people have made what we are today. I'm glad. 9:32 S: Okay, let's play next song. K:Yes. 9:39 S: Please listen one more acoustic song.

This proves that great music is multi lingual, while most of us non Japanese people listening cant understand the words we understand good music, good artists and Saiki has such a beautiful voice that is shown here a lot more than when she singing to heavy rock music in the live shows. Kanami is such a gifted artist, I could fall asleep to the acoustics she plays, in a good way of course, I was captivated by this version of "Puzzle" simply beautiful.

Every superlative has been rendered. These guys are absolutely outstanding. The acoustic version gives the song an entirely different point of view.

The studio versions of these two acoustic songs sound great, but they're missing the sweet harmonies from Kanami. Part of their converation was about Kanami being thrilled to do this duet with Saiki, who she loves, and Saiki is saying something along the lines of "let's not talk about that", and "let's get on with the song".

Thanks Rick, I only had a vague idea about Kanami enjoying the opportunity to be with Saiki.

These acoustic sets are some of the few places where you can actually hear Kanami singing since she does background singing with Saiki.

For five young women of such exceptional talent to come together seemingly by coincidence is beyond remarkable. That they should bind together without ego dramas is equally rare. The result without doubt is the very very best rock band on the planet and these acoustic versions prove that their talent goes way beyond rock.

At the last Saiki was telling Kanami to shut up and start playing the guitar. Kanami was gushing over her crush, Saiki and Saiki was telling her to get on with it.

A nice acoustic set. I do think Miku's voice harmonizes better with Saiki on "Puzzle". Anemone is very nicely done. Kanami and Akane were in an "idol" type band before joining Miku in Band Maid. Kanami has a nice voice too. Saiki is an amazing talent, as she has such a big voice.

This was a pretty great performance. I enjoyed your reaction. These women can do it all. They really are an amazing band! Sorry I missed your stream, was working. But, I wanted to wish you a very happy Birthday!!! And by the way, your mic was cutting out quite a bit during this reaction. No biggie, it wasn't too much of a distraction. But just in case you didn't know, I thought I would mention it. The acoustic version of Thrill is pretty cool if you get the chance!

Hi, John. I've been enjoying your reaction on Band-Maid a lot. Here's tip about the pronunciation of Saiki. You prononuce Sa-ki in two syllable, but it should be done in three syllable, like Sa-i-ki. I'm japanese. Happy Birthday, John.

Glad you enjoy this different side of them, I love it as well! :) Is it possible for you to upload the stream so those of us who missed it (like me because of work) can still watch it? That would be great! Also check out their acoustic version of "Thrill" :D

Please do not use the tsunami. In Japan, a tsunami is a bad image. The tsunami killed tens of thousands of people on March 11, 2011. Kanami is not happy to be said to be a tsunami. The meaning of kanami is as follows. 歌波 = kanami 歌 = ka = song 波 = nami = wave She is delighted to be called typeface mincho. She is called kanamincho or mincho from members and fans. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/font-list/ms-mincho I am sorry because it is a Google translation.

Saiki's performance here has some strange power to summon the onion ninjas.. every dang time. Kanami's such a badass.. then you hear her speak :P kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5mTe3eaeMyNmdU studio version of Anemone is also great.. MISA with some slick lines ala Awkward. audio only. (some of your commentary was getting cut off.. noise gate/activation level on the mic might be a bit high)

Kanami - NOT tsunamis - big difference - show respect Shadow John. - would I call you " dark juan " no - that would be disrespectful- please - Kanami is one of the best and please do not confuse her name with Tsunami. Tsunamis have a bad conatation with the Japanese
