I am enjoying a Band-Maid overload with all of the new content that has been uploaded to YT over the last couple of days. An outstanding brand-new official music video from Band-Maid along with several quality reaction uploads has left me needing a towel and a cigarette. :)

Idiomaticly it should be give me a break. At work you take a break or a rest before and after lunch. Tears overflowing down should be l am crying. Translation from Japanese is not easy. Breaking New Gate is literally entering new territory.

Hey Shadow John, I thought last Friday was your birthday?!? Anyways...Glad you reacted to Order. It's one of my favorites even though they didn't write that one (it's from Brand New Maid). Akane is a beast on it, and everybody shines! I agree the guitar solo is one of Kanami's best. You should check out Matchless Gum live for yet another side of the Maids. I spent a few hears in Japan and I can tell you is this is how they handle English. I suspect that the give me a rest is referencing Gimme a break in american speak. Kaname really hit it this time, eh?

I don't think it is American speak. I've heard it / said it many times but "Give me a break" is more common; and I'm from the UK (Scotland).

I'm particular with words so although I understand that English is not their forte, clumsily done lyrics does become a huge distraction. It might be better for them to get a professional translation done for the English parts atleast untill Miku gets decently proficient in it One Ok Rock is another band that has included English parts in their songs since their early days and while theirs were also quite rough initially it was still enough to get the message across but with band maid as nicely as I would want to put it, it does get a little silly sometimes... Well, I'm sure they'll get better at it in no time but for the time being it might be better to keep it completely Japanese or if they're gonna include it, might as well do it right

A few band maid songs have lyrics that don't appear to make sense, something is lost in translation. It would be cooler if she said "give it a rest". Nonetheless, a rocking song.

“Give me a rest” ? The translation from Japanese to English is not always perfect. So sometimes it doesn’t make sense.

I can't understand Japanese, but my best guess is the song is about being attracted to someone who isn't making a move on you. "I wanna be with you, give me a rest" would be something kinda like "Just ask me out already". Again, just a guess. Regardless, the song is still amazing!
