Band Maid - Blooming | What a song! {Reaction}

"Blooming" is one of their best original songs. Band Maid always brings a great deal of energy to their songs. At 75 years old, I have seen quite a few rock bands in my life, many of them iconic bands. This band has restored my love of rock music. I suspect many other older rock fans feel the same way after they hear Band Maid.

Same here and Blooming is in my top 4 but the margins are very slim across the whole of their catalogue

I am only 69 yo. Have always loved rock, just gave up on the pablum common in the last few decades. Thank God for Band Maid. Unfortunately, their high standards has reaffirmed how mediocre most modern music is.

I wondered how you guys would react to this one. It’s different; layered and kinda progressive. The whole “Conquerer” album has this feel and similar guitar sounds. A fantastic follow up after this would be “Bubble.” Another tasty riff, similar feel to this song, but completely different. Band Maid make sense of contradictions and paradoxes Bubble! Any Maidiacs agree?

I love this song, and especially how the guitar solo builds with a frenetic pace and rising notes in the bass until they fling you off a cliff ... but you don't fall to your death, you land on a soft cloud: _Far away, take me somewhere far away. Reach out your hand, desire more, the melody continues on._ And that outro solo ...

Arguably Kanami’s best solo onsny studio track, but then they manage to bring this beautiful whole other little song into this one and then blend them together high energy yet beautiful chaos really goes to show their writing talent. How many other bands do you gush about their bridges? Yet for them it is well earned. Instrumental Maid has the Moratorium Live video on his page. It’s my favorite. (Also has lyrics don’t let his name fool you).

Just watched all your Band-Maid reactions in one sitting! From your earliest reaction (Thrill) to this latest one. Fascinating to see how you guys went from (I'm paraphrasing here) "pretty ok", "nice guitar tone", "backup singer, drummer, bassist, lead guitar", to "wow", "mind-effing-blown", "I'm getting teary-eyed" and now referring to the band members by their names! This band is a generational talent, and I've absolutely no problem when some fans compare them to the likes of The Beatles, Led Zepp, GNR etc. Namaste and greetings from a Band-Maid fan from India.

One of the few songs where Mincho graces us with 2 guitar solos'. I also love the way that the videographer didn't show any full faces through the first half of the clip. They were either all in shadow, or turned away, or out of frame, etc. Brilliant work.

I'm sure you noticed by now that the music in the 2nd verse vs the 1st verse is not cut and paste. Additional or different riffs and drum patterns in the 2nd verse are a staple of all BAND-MAID songs. It is a pleasure that not many bands do and it is very much appreciated.
