This is one of Kanami's top 5 solos in my opinion. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.😢

I agree!

Might be for me as well, but there's so many to choose I'd have to take time off work to figure it out lol. It is certainly one of her most powerful solos.

For pure emotional power in wild guitar solos in a ballad, Daydreaming & Wonderland are hard/impossible to beat. Used to think Amos Garrett’s solo on ‘Midnight on the Oasis’ was the ‘be all & end all’ (a decade or so after its release, before the internet was big, I believe it was voted in Guitar Magazine or one of those big industry magazines, as the best guitar solo ever) but now I would put a few of Kanami’s ahead of that one. She’s not the most technical or fastest guitar player, but she is best at what’s really important, creating kickass solos that don’t distract from the song or music. If you wanted to attempt to replace Kanani’s solo on this song and attempt to make it better, or more emotionally fitting, you’d have to start by hiring a full set of orchestral strings! You’re going to fail, but that’s where you’d have to start,

MINCHO’s solo captures the heartbreaking agony of longing to be reunited with someone you will never see again.

I think Daydreaming is the Band-Maid song with the most Top 10s among the Maidiacs.

Daydreaming is one of the best power ballads in rock. It is, simply, beautiful. Kanami's guitar solo really conveys the mood of the song to the listener. Kanami doesn't have to open her mouth, but she sings to the audience with her instrument.

BAND-MAID'S Daydreaming = Their most BEAUTIFUL masterpiece! Unfortunately, I happen to be allergic to it. Every time I hear it, my eyes start watering. 🤘😂🤘 I do strongly suggest you and all other newbies check out the MV. It's beautiful and really does a great job capturing the mood and emotion of the song. Thanks again for another great reaction! 🤘🤩🤘

Mincho's guitar intro for this song at their 2023 finale is something special. Will bring a tear of joy to my eye every time I hear it.

I agree with that sentiment. When I watched the DVD of their Tour Finale, I was shocked at how beautiful her introductory solo was. I immediately teared up.

The piano intro is not normally part of the song. It was added special for this concert.

Thiis is also their music! Genre is BAND-MAID. Live is always better than studio stuff, because there is always love for their audience.

Some bands copy piano intros- Kanami composes her own. I think that this is probably the most beautiful song of hers. This is a vocal tour de force by Saiki.

Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, Memorable, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wondered if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? It'll be interesting to see if Bestie (sung in English) hits new markets. Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx B-Drags, for another great Band-Maid reaction! Like your new handle!!

Thanks for the reaction Rick! I always wonder if reactors will like their slower tempo songs, or if they are only interested in the faster stuff. That’s all fine, taste is taste, but I am glad you appreciate and enjoy a wide range of music.

Honestly, I used to think this is one song where Saiki sounded better in Studio version, but Yokohama Arena version turned it around. Hope they upload that version on their official channel at some point.
