YOLO, which Kanami is playing on piano, was composed by her. When Band-Maid was formed she kept the song "in her Pocket" since the band's management company did not allow the band to write and record for their early albums. Once, Band-Maid changed their management company and they were allowed to write and record their own music, Kanami pulled out YOLO and rearranged it for their rock sensabilities.

The song she was playing on Piano in the beginning is YOLO. You should definitely check it out along with the other two tracks from the single, Matchless Gum and Unfair Game.

@@JohnnyFoxtrotshow unfortunately she’s not playing piano in the actual song. The clip in the video is her piano arrangement for it, that’s the main melody. I’m not sure if she originally wrote the YOLO demo on piano or not but she released a few piano versions like that on social media. It’s still a really good song though.

yes, when Band-Maid sang YOLO, they rearranged it as a Progressive Rock track. :) Matchless Gum is a fantastic song! Unfair Game too, which I've seen them perform LIVE already. I think overall, that YOLO Single with the 2 B-side songs is A+++++++++

Iiirc, Yolo was written by Kanami prior to joining Band-Maid. When Band-Maid decided to go forward with Kanami's songs, she adapted it to Band-Maid's sound; it would have been fun to hear how it sounded originally when Kanami was pursing a solo career.

FYI. The japanese character of "歌Ka 波nami" literally means song wave. "津Tsu 波nami" means sea wave. "波nami" means wave.

First, glad you are enjoying the documentaries, as they are well produced by Ohrenje . Full of information and just makes you love them even more. Kanami is amazing. That last intro solo...it's from their 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena. A moving tribute to her grandmother who passed before that show. To your point...she can move you with her music...and the emotion out of that solo...goosebumps. 🥲 Next, the next one is Akane. To be followed by MISA. Then a 3 part series on Miku. Or beloved little pigeon. PO!🕊 Finally, for Ohrenje videos, I would suggest turning off the CC, as Ohrenje has all of the Japanese to English translations already embedded in his documentaries. The CC often clutter the screen and covers his CC's and sometimes makes it hard to follow with the overlapping CC's. Just a suggestion. PO! 🕊

I could personally care less what her orientation is but I believe it's just part of a fun schtick that's now part of the Band-Maid Lore. As is her always flipping up Miku's skirt The Maid's are super protective of their Private Lives so its hard to be certain for sure. There was an old interview that mentioned her being late to a gig because something had taken place and she was unable to find someone to help watch her daughter. This was never seen brought up or heard if ever again. The Internet can be a funny place. Also note in early Band-Maid videos and concert clips Kamami wore cute & sexy maid costumes, that showed off her great lingeried stockinged legs. Then all of a sudden pulled a complete 180 and had the most buttoned up head to toe maid outfit and gave herself a bowl cut bang chop making her instantly the most dowdy of the group. Coincidence, hmm I think not. Kinda says I'm not showing off anymore because I'm have responsibilities as a wife and mother.

However, it doesn't matter if they are in a different order, so check out the rest of the members' documentaries, too.

Absolutely. I had watched the SAIKI doc on a livestream and it unfortunately is blocked now. I'll definitely be continuing with recording the rest of the documentaries the way I did this one. Appreciate you friend 🙏🤘🧸🕊️
