Po freed the members of BAND-MAID. At first, it was probably for the purpose of leaving a strong impression, but it has led to the feeling that the unique members can be themselves and that they don't have to look cool. It makes even the quirky personalities of the members attractive.

Yeah that's true. It probably freed Kanami to show her own on-stage personality to contrast Miku in her own way. Saiki is Saiki. MISA is MISA. They all got to the idea of performing for the audience, apart from playing music, since Miku did that every show with her Maid Cafe experience.

Miku Has turned into a first rate guitarist that any band would love to have as a member. She has put in the work as any great superhero would to the point where she stands and moves is very different. Now she stands like a guitarist. She is still Miku but has a guitarist's swagger. I think that playing guitar has also caused her to be a better vocalist. Playing guitar and singing doubles the difficulty of both, and in return has made her so much better at both. Hell Tony Visconti even gave her his 12 string Zimaetis.(one of two in the world) although she is still afraid of playing such a rare instrument not to forget. Miku is one of the only rock songwriters that can move my heart and make me cry ugly. Banda Maido are the whole package of musicianship songwriting, and personalities they seem to really love their fans and actually really love each other, that is an extremely rare thing.

So well stated. I am a 59 year old ex-Marine. I don't cry at sad songs or sad movies. Well, I didn't until these ladies showed up. These ladies, especially Miku, have brought me to tears more times than I can count. We are all so proud of our favorite Pigeon and what she has accomplished. 6 years ago, I didn't even know they existed (found them by accident in late spring/early summer of 2017), now I can't imagine life without them. I was so enthralled with them that I flew from Pennsylvania to LA to see them at Echoplex on 10-1-2019. I just knew I had to see these incredible women. It might be the best decision I've ever made. I love these women dearly. I hope to live long enough to see them inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

Such an amazing journey into the story of the Maids by Ohrenje and company. And this one is the perfect continuation to a story of a band that began with a 810 y/o pigeon and a dream. I will forever remember my experience of standing right in front of Miku and Saiki in Chicago. I couldn't keep my eyes from watching Miku be the rock star she is. Her personality, her laugh and energy are truly infectious. And she had me laughing the entire show. Thank you Miku, thank you Band-Maid, and thank you Maidiacs. My life has truly been changed for the better. ぽ

Kamai records all the guitar parts for the albums. Then Kanami will teach Miku the lines for playing live. She said that she had wrote a song that she knew Miku couldn't play, so she wrote another song that would assist Miku to learn the more complex song. She works very hard on her guitar playing, Kanami has said with pride how much time Miku spends practicing. Miku is highly respected in Japan for her lyrics, I always look up the lyrics in English though I don't think I'm missing some of Miku's meaning. I would love to meet Miku, the question I want to ask her is - When was the first time you realized you were the smartest one in the room. She is very very intelligent!!

Kobato Miku: From amateur who really didn't like playing guitar and considered quitting to giant guitar nerd in only a few years. I thought it was a neat perspective that Miku's improvement has allowed Kanami to shine. Now that she can leave a song's foundations to Miku she can really go wild with her own parts. As one gets better, so does the other; they build each other up.

Miku is a rather inspirational, charismatic little character. Watching her Miku magic bits is a mixture of boldness, humor, and a bit of cringe, yet her charm always wins the crowd over. As her guitar playing goes, her progress has been nothing short of amazing. Playing in a performance setting is difficult, playing while singing is challenging for any beginning guitarist. That Miku has become such a proficient player/performer in such a short time is a testament to her determination and perseverance. Kudos to Kanami for being a great teacher and mentor. This series about Miku is insightful and very well done.

How Miku came up with "PIGEON" while riding a train - (The pigeon of Keihan express, the symbol of the Keihan Express is the pigeon head mark. The design which has been loved from 1952 is said to be from pigeons at the Ishishimizu-hachimangu temple which is on the lines area. The pigeon which is a agent of god is looking over the safety of the passengers.)

i want to see a reaction channel talk about the elements of their song cuz there is so much detail in all of them. you losing so much if you only focus on individual skills and solos, i get it that the other 4 skills are blinding but there is no ego in their music band at their level is no longer about instrumental difficulties but more on songwritings. how you can tie the parts together (try to listen to wonderland, that is a majestic song) the thing that i love the most about them is the the harmony in each instruments (Miku's vocal included). top tier songwritings (Miku's lyrics included). this is just my own perspective opinion. btw i have no confident with my english, so sorry for any mistakes. i need to convey my feelings about them somewhere.. especialy Miku's part in the Band. thank you for the effort, Ohrenje and everyone involved.

Actually using PO at the end of sentences or after saying hello or goodbye , in the Philippines it’s used the same way as a sign of respect. When I first heard her saying PO when she was talking I actually thought she was Filipina but moved to Japan and just mixed the two languages. But I’m glad she explained it , it’s pretty cool and I actually think it’s cute I like the way she talks. I love to listen to all of them talking especially when they talk in English. My first time hearing Band - Maid was just like most people in America , I was watching BabyMetal and Band - Maid was recommended. Since then my female Japanese metal playlist has gotten so big with BabyMetal Band - Maid and NEMOPHILA as the most played. And the songs never get old. Thank you ladies for making some of the most awesome music I and many others have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Here’s to many more years of success to you. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️🤟🤟🤟

She is a character and her energy and joy is so fun..... PO. Ha ha. BTW her backing vocals and rhythm guitar are easy to miss. She does not step on the other players and serves the song, blending so well, You really have to listen. She lets the lead vocal and lead guitar be lead. It is easy to take her vocals & guitar for granted. I heard an isolation of her live. I was shocked how good she is. PS I am going to see them TWICE in May Saint Louis and Nashville. Last tour missed this part of the country. GET YOUR TICKETS. I did and NOT over priced resale scalpers. I had to pay x2 to see them in Dallas last year.

Then what I found going back to your channel was gold! I kept watching these documentaries almost every day. It's really easy to forget that these videos are still fan made especially Kobato's. The top notch production quality, the research, writing and narration. It's like something Netflix, BBC or MTV would release back in the day for documentaries. I really wish the band could see these videos, i know they will appreciate this. They should also hire your team if they decide to make a documentary once they successfully dominate the world this year or maybe early next year. 😂

In the beginning there was a small pigeon 🐦 who met a guitarist 🎸 who played with a drummer 🥁 who went to school with the bassist 🎸 and then tricked the singer 🎤 to join the band then the small pigeon 🐦 asks the guitarist 🎸 please teach me how to play the guitar 🎸 *BAND-MAID*

Very Cool. About Miku's guitar..... Both Miku and Kanami remind me of the Malcolm and Angus Young (AC/DC) partnership. Angus would "go for walkabout", playing leads, doodling in the verses whilst Malcolm would be holding the rhythm. For me these girls replicate those roles, only that MISA also likes "to go walkout" with here bass lines, which (For Me) makes Miku'srole as a solid rhythm guitarist even MORE important. Miku is a f¤#king trooper. No Miku, No Band-Maid!!!!!

Speaking of Miku picking notes, and I may be wrong here, but in the Studio Coast version of Awkward there is a section about 2 minutes into the song where it sounds like Miku and Kanami are picking in unison and there is also a place about 2:20 in where the focus is on Miku's guitar and to me she is picking the notes along with Kanami there. That's in 2017.
