You know it's a great band and song when three old dudes are bopping their heads in time with the music and smiles on their faces. BAND-MAID ROCKS!!!

Forget they're all female. Forget they're dressed as maids. Know that two members (Misa - Bass, Akane - Drums) are classically trained pianists and musicians who studied at the Tokyo Academy of Music while Kanami, the lead guitarist, has also been playing piano since the age of 3 or 4 but is concert standard. Almost unbelievably, given her skills, she only switched to guitar about 10 years ago! They all have superb musical ability as well as passion, a lack of ego and the drive to play real, in yer face, Rock which is why they are THE best live Rock band on Earth right now. OK, now that's explained, you can go back and marvel at how cute those outfits look and how incredibly beautiful all the band members are. The only band I've seen that is playing live like bands I went to see in the 70's, such as Led Zeppelin or Sabbath or Zappa. Real guitars, drums and bass played loudly and with passion as well as powerful Rock vocals with not an autotune in sight. And like those bands, they are all really close and know how to have fun together on stage. They've revived the classic Rock sound and given the genre a much needed kick in the ass, as Babymetal have done for Metal.

The fact that the group also writes their own music in their last 3 to 4 albums since "Alone" in the "Brand New Maid" album. Kanami writing most of them as far as I have read.

There is no other band that works so hard on their live versions, always giving them a touch of freshness and novelty to keep them always updated in their repertoire.

You three deserve to see Band Maid live. So many bands can't tour and some have tried a livestream show but you can't beat the experience of seeing a good group live. Apparently, the band Maid ladies are smaller than people expect but they certainly fill and stand tall on the stage.

@@sacluvsBM Man that's sad news. I know you're not being frivolous Robert. When I look back now, whether from D.L.R. or Sammy Hagar eras, Eddie played solos with a huge smile on his face. It's reminiscent of exactly of how Kanami plays today, always smiling & with love for her instrument & the music. I'm sure the great man would be proud of her. R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen :(

This music just makes me happy and energetic. No matter which song. If i printed their smiling promo pic it would probably has the same effect

What you're looking at with Kanami's PRS is the flame maple top. In this particular concert it does sort of resemble digital camo, but it's at least a lvl 4, probably lvl 5 natural figuring in the wood grain enhanced by the stain.

I dig that you all get to react together IN PERSON, I do reacts with other people but it’s always they are in other states or even countries, I’m a little jealous lol. Any background photo with Akane in the Little Hat is cool with me. I love that MISA is about 7" taller than Miku. LOL BTW, Saiki is not taller than Akane, she just has heels on, so does Kanami.

Play is one of my fav Band-Maid songs, and then I hear Domination or Moratorium and I can't decide. lol And, yeah, seeing Band-Maid is on my bucket list if and when they come to Cali. I missed them when they played The Chapel in SF. Won't make that mistake again!

Theres definitely some post-pro, but! Thats pretty normal since the 70s. Its not invasive and this show reminds me a bit of Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous (Videos of from the 78 Rainbow show) when it was recorded and clips are all over youtube now. They had that perfect (IMO) balance when young (18 in those) Brian Robertson was the 2nd lead with Gorham. However, unlike Band-Maid, this was Lizzies peak. BAND-MAID is just getting started it feels like.
