Akane and Saiki's playful nature, right smack in the middle of a concert takes me back to Rush's Alex Lifeson and the late, great Neil Peart's antics back in the late 70's, early 80's. I'm happy to see this again some 40 years later. Akane-san needs to be put on a rotating platter, not only to show off her exquisite beauty and charm but her masterful work on the drums.

The only thing that makes this song sounds heavy is because of the bass guitar and drums combo. The other two electric guitars not so much. If you are a fan of a heavy rock band, not necessarily looking for a true heavy metal sound, this band is for you.

Saiki. She's commanding. She's dominating the stage. The princess has grown so well.

The trio is no doubt impressive, but they were already well-skilled when band the band started. It's about refinements for them. But for the other two, we can see how much they have improved. Miku, who started knowing nothing other than some singing, has become a significant power on the stage (can't forget that she does the heavy-lifting behind the stage). Saiki, who was pretty robotic early on, and kind of didn't how to show / push her potentials, has become more comfortable with taking over the stage and extracting more of her vocals. I am happy that I am witnessing their developments.

One comment not that off topic, but off topic. One I read that Miku says that around 70% of their fan base live outside Japan. So my suggestion is that they open a channel for us, foreigners, to get the CDs and DVDs by download. One important point: with the same audio and image quality. Why do i say so? Because when I bought the last DVD I payed 1/4 for the product and 3/4 between taxes and freight. Therefore, the ladies received only one fourth of what I spent. If they have a site for download, I would pay the whole amount for them (band and record company). I think this is a better way to support our Band Maid.

Miku couldn't play the guitar when she created the band. She was originally the lead singer, but her voice wasn't strong enough. When they got Saiki for lead vocals they had a new problem: two lead singers. They had Saiki try holding a guitar to help with their on stage appearance, but she looked awkward holding a guitar so Miku volunteered to hold a guitar. Over time, the lead guitarist taught her how to play, but it took a few years. If you watch the early music videos and live gigs they did, Miku can be seen just holding her Rickenbacker. When she got her Zemaitis, Miku became very serious about learning how to play. Now she is a solid rhythm player, po! 🕊️
