Band Maid loves to bring different elements into their music. It keeps their music unique and fresh. They have great talent as musicians, composers and lyricists. Even though Kanami does most of the music and Miku does most of the lyrics, the rest of the Band contributes and makes it what it is.

From the insane bridge to the first half chorus at half speed , speeding up to the second half chorus, gathering every note in that brilliant way... of course they are progg. What makes them different is that they do it in an absolutely fun way. Every song is a party.

I think Kanami and the girls produce the most dense yet completely integrated music for any hard rock band in history. And if you isolate Saiki's singing, it's amazing how many runs and vocal techniques she uses, especially in "No God." But she can be overlooked because of the flurry of notes and sound flying around her. You gotta love these super polite, unassuming geniuses that become warriors on stage and in the studio! Thx Brian & Stan for another great reaction to the greatest hard rock band on the planet!

Your right Tom. The one thing i think detracts slightly from "No God" is, because of the multi layered vocals it's hard to pick apart the individual instruments. The instrumental shows clearer how complex the parts are :)
@TomClark-Futoura3 жыл бұрын
@@GaryHolloway-810 Yeah, people can really see and appreciate just what's being played if they watch the No God instrumental version showing each member playing their part. People can see this on the DVD/BD/CD AVAILABLE OF BAND-MAID’S FEB. 11, 2021 2 ½ HOUR ONLINE LIVE OKYU-JI CONCERT. IT IS AWESOME!! 28 SONGS Plus 5 Bonus Recordings showing individual playing by each maid! Info at their official website. bandmaid.tokyo/ Also some reactors have covered it.

They are so in sync with each other and they are enjoying performing together. The music and lyrics just get better. Miku's lyrics are highly respected in Japan and now Saiki contributes to the lyrics. While they have more fans in Europe and the US than in Japan, the Japanese respect them. Stan you are correct about MISA, in an interview she said that she creates her bass lines from the music sent by Kanami and that the lines are pretty much unchanged in the final song. I consider MISA the second lead guitar. Miku has a signature guitar from Zemaitis out, a A24MF-FP known the Flappy Pigeon. Miku designed it. FYI She is playing it in this MV.

I love both the acoustic and the live versions. The slower acoustic set really highlighted the vocals and gave you better visuals in each band members role within the song but it's definitely different with altered lyrics, slower tempo, and altered composition. Listening to the slower version makes you appreciate the fast version they present on tour, but I suspect the songs will evolve and become different over the years. Like many other music groups, there's going to be a more diverse selection of songs and various versions played for each song.

@@GaryHolloway-810 Kanami ran over and hugged Akane's gorilla feet. Saiki walked over to MISA and took her JB bottle from her hands as she was guzzling it, and shot back the rest. Akane begun grunting and belching while beating her chest causing everyone to think she was counting off the next song. Miku flew back in and they all started playing again without missing the opening beat. Quite a scene I understand... but typical Maid behavior. 🦍

You are absolutely right. In many bands you could safely fire the bass player without missing her/him much. But with B-M, every single one of the ladies is an equally strong pillar in the band's construct, which could hardly cope with such a loss. Their individual talent is already enormous, but what the ladies do with it as a group multiplies the whole thing many times over. On top of that, they are indeed damn pretty and have fun doing what they do. In my opinion, they form the perfect package that cannot be surpassed by others at the moment. 【 'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!' - Band-Maid 】🕊️
