Yep, we all were surprised to see Maids playing at the main hall of this historic temple. People are not allowed to take even a picture let alone videotaping. A rumor said that the head monk of the temple was a Maidiac...😏 All Maids were barefooted when they were inside the temple to show respect.

When I first discovered Band-Maid thanks to a lucky KZbin recommendation, this video wasn't out yet. I knew they were something special immediately, but it was several more years before I fully entered the pigeon hole. Their music wasn't readily available here in the USA, and I had no idea where to even begin when it came to importing their music. Eventually, more of their music videos came out, which allowed me to follow them to an extent, and then their music started showing up on the streaming services that I use. From there, I was completely hooked and started importing their CDs and Blu-rays as they came out. They're the band that supplanted the Beatles as the best of all time (the BOAT) for me, and I don't see that changing. Recommendations: anything on their channel that you haven't already done. Also, any Cluppo you haven't done yet. Bonus: Saiki's guest vocal performance on "Tactics" and Cluppo's guest vocal performance on "Spread Your Wings." Edit: for double bonus points, Miku (as lyricist) and Saiki (as vocalist) did a collaboration with Unchain called "Wonder" back in 2016.

From what I've heard, Saiki lost her shoe(s) in the previous song of that concert and sang "Real Existence" barefoot, so her and Misa have a moment on stage that is fun to watch. Nice reaction, If you look closely you'll see dark pads on Akane's drums to mute the sound, the rest of the instruments are also muted. Also, you'll notice that Miku really knows how to flirt with the camera, must be experience from working in a maid cafe. I found Band-Maid back in 2016, I'd discovered Babymetal first from the Colbert show (a US late night talk show) in 2016 when he had them on his show (if you're interested - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWGog5psacylpLs ). After watching a lot of their videos, I noticed Band-Maid popping up in the recommendations and in the comments, so I clicked "Thrill" and was hooked. I still really like Babymetal (and all the other female rock/metal bands from Japan), but Band-Maid is my favorite band. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.

I started listening to BAND-MAID in 2020 during the pandemic. My music needed a jolt of something new, plus my dad had just died and I have always used music as a way to comfort myself. I was watching Nightwish reactions and the name BAND-MAID kept popping up. I decided to give them a try and immediately fell in love. I listened to "Domination," "Blooming," and "Dice" that first night, though I couldn't remember "Blooming" the next day when I was telling one of my receptionists about this great new band I found. I referred to the song as "Orbital" for some reason. The next night, I found LOVEBITES, Unlucky Morpheus, and Babymetal (I was aware that Babymetal existed but had never listened to them). Previous to the maids, the only Japanese rock or metal I had heard was Shonin Knife and they suck.

Back in April/May 2018, while watching BABYMETAL reaction videos and saw lots of comments suggesting BAND-MAID, I gave them a go at it, as I was kind of getting tired of BABYMETAL due to Yui leaving and handling of the issues😅 Actually, REAL EXISTENCE was the first MV I watched, but Alone was the MV that nailed my heart to BAND-MAID🕊️

Still one of my favorites! Thank you for your excellent reaction! 2020 and I prejudged them for the maid gear. Wave Potter and Old Mr B kept going on about BandMaid. Once I really took the time to listen with an open mind I was all in. After Life OMV is pretty outrageous ~ stuff gets destroyed!

Hello, Sofi-san. This song "REAL EXISTENCE" is one of Band-Maid's early songs, but it's still popular and is played at a high rate at live shows. Saiki's powerful voice is complemented by Miku's cute singing voice. I remember being shocked that there was a band playing rock music in a temple. And from the time I saw this music video until now, I don't think there are any other rock bands that play in temples.

I finally broke down and gave them a listen near the end of that year and haven't looked back. My wallet hates them just as much as it does Babymetal, lol. Have a great day!

The live versión of "Real Existen" is much better.👍 Awkward is one of their best, but If you choose the live versión instead of the audio in studio, be sure of using a copyright screen or enough pasuses.😉
