A copyright claim is not the same as a copyright strike. We said you wouldn't get a strike. Claims don't block your videos, just gives them the proceeds. Your videos are still up and can he viewed.

I’ve legitimately watched over a thousand band-maid reactions easily. Some are people without anything outside of just bopping their head. The only other ones to ever be copyrighted were the early “show them live” reactions and a couple others that were played live but not released. Edit: I thought this was about copyright strikes. Those are copyright claims. Those don’t hurt your channel, it just means you can’t monetize the video itself. Reactions should be treated as ads because the purpose should be to use the videos to sell merch or links to patreon or premium subs to the channel itself.

Copyright claims are common just to be clear ... it simply means any monetization goes to the band. Our MAIDs do not STRIKE or BLOCK any content ... but I think you were joking. ALL musical content will get claimed. Anyway, doing everything Gary asks will be very dangerous :p . Very creative video ... well done ... but we can't caution you enough about Gary ;) .

Yeah, when the fans say they don't copyright, they mean STRIKE, which is bad. Get three strikes within a 90 day period and your channel is deleted permanently. PONYCANYON (Their record company) does copyright CLAIM the revenue though, which is pretty standard and no threat to your channel. 😁

Even my cover songs are copyright "claimed" ... which I think of as a compliment :). I think what people are saying is that you will not get a copyright strike (those are bad) and other bands do those. But I enjoyed your video, that was fun :) .. Roberto!

The only thing I try to match to the original song is the tempo... apparently that is enough because I can't say any of the covers actually sound that close to the original ... the leads are always just made up off the top of my head... mistakes included :).

People have nutty ideas about the YT copyright system because they get their info from YT comments. It's well explained in the docs and takes about 10 minutes to read. YT has one of the largest databases in the world. The copyright system is all automated, extremely predictable, and surprisingly simple. I highly suggest any KZbinr read the copyright docs for themselves.

We said you wouldn't get a strike not a claim. No one intentionally misguided you. If they did say you wouldn't get a claim, it's because they don't know the difference between a claim and a strike. You will get a claim by just about all of them regardless. This is why most channels have a Patreon. I actually like your analysis but this copyright drama is a bit much. This is a common topic in the Band-Maid Community.

So they have claims. The KZbin computer would usually have automatically given the money to the copyright holder . However, you chopped up the video, so maybe the computer didn't catch it but an actual person did. Then they have Blocks. Means you can't post the video. When The Warnings camp leaked a collab Band-maid blocked it and all reactions to it. If someone puts up a video from a dvd or blueray that's not on the official channel Band-maid will block it. However if a reactor has reacted to it while it was up Band-maid will not mess with the reactor. Then they have strikes. You can't post the video and if you get 3 strikes you lose your channel for a few years. And they have something less official but more serious. Another Japanese band, Maximum The Hormone, usually goes straight to the strike but they have also just gotten channels shut down with no warning. Bit they do let some reactions up. They don't tell you which are ok and which are not. I do remember asking you who was getting the money, you or Band-maid. Now you know why 😂

Don't worry my friend, a copyright claim does nothing to your account, the problem would be a strike, and unless you publish paid content, you can be super calm. I think I'm not wrong, but the video remains monetized until the claim, so all previous earnings remain such.

What does it matter if you react to a song or analyze a song? You are still using their material. If people commented that the band wouldn't copyright it, I think they meant copyright strike. Like Dean said, you're videos are still up and available to be viewed. I enjoy your reaction/analysis of their videos but if you're going to turn into some of these reactors that think the band owes them something, you're going to lose a lot of subscribers. PonyCanyon isn't their management, it's their record label. Looking forward to more reactions/analysis'

Had this in my suggested video on my homepage. 1 minute in and I see it is a claim which is normal, you don't deserve to make ad revenue on someone else work unless they decide to share it. If you are complaining about that, that means I don't need to watch any of your other content.

This is nothing new. Claims are pretty standard for reaction videos no matter who you are reacting to. I've heard more than one reactor say that they make no money off of their BAND-MAID reaction videos. The only time I've heard of PonyCanyon handing out strikes is over that bootleg video of them performing with The Warning.

Their are other Reactors that are trying to get the management companies to encourage reactions to promote the bands. Hopefully Maidit will be nicer to you.
