All the maids shining once again in this song. But for me the sound of Miku's rhythm guitar throughout the song is so good. Also the last section of tapping by Kanami, where the left hand is playing its own tune, & the tapping of the right hand is playing a distinctly different high pitch melody of its own. You might really like the live version of 'Play'. It was also originally written as an instrumental. I do know that during the tapping part, there are two other guitar tracks you're hearing. One is the chunky rhythm part that Miku's playing, and the other is a tremolo picking part that's on a track. You know, in rhythm games we use a different term for 16th triplets. We just call them 24ths. That's in part because rhythm game tools tend to be made by non musicians who don't know the language of music well, though.
@DrumRollTonyReacts2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Why not just learn the normal wording tho? As far as understanding a beat has two part. The down and up. The number and the "and" 16th note triplets insert 3 16th note on the down and 3 on the up. Their beaming is a double beam (hence the 16th note part of the name). They are written that way as well so it's convenient to have the name and written style match. In reality there are a lot of ways to do anything. I just like function that sets people up for fast success. 24 does make sense tho. The math makes sense. I would just not say to a group "hey trumpets, your second half of 24th notes on beat 3 of measure 2 were dragging"
@Bobbias2 жыл бұрын
@@DrumRollTonyReacts I think it's a combination of a few things. Most people who make charts (the generic name for rhythm game "levels" for a song) don't have any formal music theory education, just like most of the programmers. So you get a sort of "alternate view" where the subtleties of theory are completely missing. It boils down to the underlying math more or less. Plus, most rhythm game tools don't really have great support for encoding time signatures into the chart. You'll often see games that assume everything is 4/4, or maybe let you change the beats per bar, but rarely will a rhythm game support describing something in 11/15ths for example. I do like the clarity that comes from using 24ths instead, but I admit it does strip away the nuance of how you would analyze the rhythm.
@DrumRollTonyReacts2 жыл бұрын
@@Bobbias Well I guess it boils down to if you enjoy it or not. I would advise learning the "normal" systems as much as possible as that will keep you up to speed in rehearsals and gigs that interact with other musicians. I will comment on your 11/15 bar tho. LOL what. That time signature substitution does not make sense. Maybe in the most elite drumline worlds as they have the most complicated rhythms that exist. If you take a normal 4/4 bar but want to have the feel be 11 notes you could write 11/16. In reality you would likely just group your 16th notes to fit the sequence you want to achieve. But you could also write a bar of 4 and then a bar of 3/8. That might be a bit more normal... However the 11/15 .. You can achieve a slight pull back in tempo feel with placing 15 notes in the place of 16. That is cool. We would write 15:16 over the grouping. But... to have 15 as the subdivision and write with 11 of those at a time. You are in feels that 99.9999% of musicians dont have the ability to play or really a purpose for. So if that software is prompting you to do that I would question it immediately.
