I had the chance to see them live last month and I was floored by the energy and quality of their music. What you see in these live videos is really what you get! They do enjoy playing together and that fun is transferred to the crowd. No language barrier can hold! Nickelback Animals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/en28qKqqhaZnb9k But BAND-MAID borrowed only the first few seconds of their riff. Then they go to something completely different. But Miku keeps that riff throughout the whole song. However, BAND-MAID puts so much on top of it, that the song has an entirely different feeling. The vocals are nothing like in Nickelback.

@wanderleyjesus67725 жыл бұрын
One year ago somebody made the same remark you did about the riff - look at this answer: ItsArchie 1 year ago The riff is similar, it uses mostly the same chords (although slightly different order, Band Maid goes D5, C5, F5, G5, whilst Nickleback goes D5, F5, C5, G5, Band Maid use the b5 chord at Ab5 second time around whereas Nickleback use Bb5 to C5), also Band Maid is using the low D5 from drop D tuning whereas Nickleback is using the D5 on 5th fret of the A string and going down. The rhythm of both is the same however, but I wouldn't read too much into it, it's an extremely common rhythmic pattern and this is a series of chords that goes together very naturally and easily, particularly when you're in Drop D.

I know this is old, but you said this song reminds you of another song. Kanami's soloing with the Wah peddle is very reminiscent of the big triple guitar solo in Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. I can honestly say that's a comparison I never would've expected, but there it is.

The live videos on youtube were ripped from bluray/dvd by someone not associated with the band. If anyone were going to get a strike it would be that person. This video has been on youtube since March last year with no problems. The only Band-Maid videos that I know of that people have gotten strikes on are "Bubble" and "Glory". The Japan Music Industry was the group making those strikes. These songs were written as theme songs for tv shows. So they're probably not wholly own by Band-Maid is the reason. As far as their other M/Vs, I've never heard of anyone getting strikes for them. If you still feel that you will get a strike by all means pause the M/V, but as for these live videos there is no need.

@@bigbrutalbassbeer410 I was always curious how the composers make sure that whatever melody comes to their mind, is not something they borrow from the past. And then it turns out that it's from a song she heard on a radio in a taxi two years ago!
