Yes, Miku has her first Full face Zemaitis here but Kanami is still jamming on her Addictone guitar. And I’m not 100% on this because the camera cuts are so fast, but I think Akane is still playing a Premier kit? Someone more learned about their gear history please let me know!💪🏻🤘🏻

The Non-Fiction Days use to be their go-to closer. I remember watching people's faces freeze when they played this progy-metal-rock powerhouse at their concerts. "How can these girls do this?" When the song ended, the Maids would give Miku her few seconds to say goodbye, bow, and then quickly walk off stage. The crowd felt like they'd been run over by a speeding freight train. It all felt so good and they wanted more! But they were leaving... until next time!

Sorry, but I can only take so much apathy towards excellence. I mean, just listen to this song! The Non Fiction Days has been out since May, 2016 yet they only have 400K YT subs after 8 years with more than 100 incredible songs like this one and hundreds of live concert performances. Thanks to all the viewers who know how to recognize authentic, fantastic music and who support Band-Maid in some way. And thanks Wave, for bringing another Band-Maid rocker to your incredible viewers!

This is easily one of my favorite old Band Maid songs. I never skip it, although to be fair, there aren't many I ever skip. Speaking of equipment, our favorite gorilla was only on one tom back then too. Amazing the sound that set up.

Great early song from Band Maid! I find it interesting that Miku is the only one with the "current" equipment with her Zemaitis guitar! Songs that are written for artists, it's still the artists responsibility to interpret and perform them, and Band Maid are masters at that! Of course when they took the reigns, they only got better, but the early tracks are still great! I wonder if Japan ever has nice days, as it seems so many of Band Maid's videos are shot on cold and crappy days. I heard a couple of the ladies actually got a little burned during this shoot, thankfully, not bad!

Pretty sure this was when Kanami was still playing her Addictone before switching to PRS. This is such a great song but it's almost become a deep cut at this point. When they play this live it sounds amazing. Also, this is a great song to compare and contrast with Warning! on many levels. Both filmed in winter Both filmed outside Both have fire... among other things to compare and contrast. Think of it as "how it started vs. how its going" meme thingy. LOL

Hello Mate, my favorite song of the Maid, the song with which I met them was 2017 and I was looking for new bands as a musician, and through internet search I found the video in a Japanese site. I was intrigued by the fact that they were 5 young girls dressed as waitresses playing hard rock, after less than a minute I stopped the video and said "what the fuck have they eaten plutonium" I found the band of my dreams. Love at first sight. I was immediately impressed by Akane and Kanami. A curiosity, Kanami uses one of the two guitars of Addictone, a small artisan Japanese musical instrument company, the guitar was designed by Kanami, she chose the materials and settings, a green zebra and purple zebra with pickups set in different ways including the action of the neck.

There used to be a single-camera video of BAND-MAID playing in this era at an outdoor concert. They are playing in the daytime at what appears to be tbe opening slot on a side stage. They close their set with Non-fiction Days, so assume it was their current single at the time.

"only 4:50 long" ? For Band-Maid, that's extremely long. In fact, that's the longest studio-recorded song in their whole catalog! In fact, Band-Maid changed my definition of good songs, especially regarding to length and repetitiveness (and more importantly, a lack of it!). Back in the day, I was always hoping for longer songs. Now, not only did I learn to enjoy their choice of song durations, but I became more critical on other bands' choices regarding that matter. (which may or may not be a good thing) There are so much change-ups and curve balls thrown at you in a Band-Maid song during this short time that you just cannot get bored. A Band-Maid song NEVER overstays its welcome. On the other side, during many 5-minute-plus songs by other bands, my attention often dwindles (even sometimes during the fourth minute), and I start thinking things like "hmm... there could have been one less verse + chorus" or "hmm... this part is the same thing as the previous one..." which eventually culminates in something like "yeah, I would have liked this song more if it was shorter". That being said, I am quite confident that a longer Band-Maid song would still not overstay its welcome. I just don't want a long song just of the sake of having a long song.

Even when they didn't write their own songs yet, they knew exactly how to make something special out of them. 🤘🏻🔥 Love the energy/vibe of it, which comes across even more in the live version. Oh, and speaking of that... Oh cool! I watched that MV the first day I got intro'd to Band-Maid, and that beach footage was one of the highlights of my first day. I'm a surfer, and I grew up as a Kiss concert goer, so beach and fires spoke to me. That's still my 2nd favorite B-M MV, 2nd only to Warning! which is that one on steroids in terms of pyrotechnics. And, the live version of "The Non-Fiction Days" is still in my Top 10. You now need to watch that.

This was one of their earliest MV’s and when the assigned day came it was freezing cold. They couldn’t afford to reschedule so the show went on as they say. They were so cold after the sun went down that they all were getting too close to the fire to stay warm and both Akane and Kanami caught fire a bit. Akane didn’t notice until Saiki yelled at her. There’s a making of video on the fan club site that’s well worth watching.

Look again at Kanami's guitar. I believe this is her signature Addictone, before she got her PRS, although she had decided at that point and might have had it on order. And they had made their visit to Zemaitis, because Miku has one here already. That happened only that year. I know of two four string basses Misa played until she went 5 string because she need more notes: A Fender Jazz Bass and a G and L USA L-2500.

There’s a real physical difference between women in there early twenties as we see here and their late twenties as we see them now. I personally think they’re even hotter now. The tiny hat is a fashion accessory Miku borrowed from Japanese Lolita Fashion..

One of their first songs I remember hearing. It's good, but they certainly have better ones. I would also like to see more Lovebites reactions, now that Miho (the bassist) left the band, sadly. Also how about something completely different? Check out the band Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. Their sound is very unique and hard to even assign a genre to. Electronicore/trancecore seem to be the most common choices.
